Virat made Vamika sleep in her bed covering her properly, "I will sit with her, go and eat something-- before you deny Rohit haven't had anything yet so may be if u eat, he will also join you", Aman said.
Virat sighed at that, he went outside before turning back to take a look, Vamika was already holding Aman's hand and leaning her head on that. He closed the door and went to the kitchen.
He noticed everyone doing something or the other, Rohit was not there. They noticed him and stopped their work. Bhuvi took the lead, he went towards Virat-- held his hand and made him sit on the sofa beside Mahi bhai.
"Where is Rohit?", asked Virat not seeing him with everyone.
Part of him wanted him here by his side but again he was guilty about everything.
"He is just outside Cheeku, he is on a call", Mahi said gently.
Virat sighed in relief and tiredness, he noticed a hand holding onto his-- he turned and saw Bhuvi giving a gentle smile of assurance to him. Virat just rested his head on his shoulder.
"I am sorry", he said quietly.
No one asked any questions seeing him like that, they knew something was terribly wrong for Virat to take all the decisions. They were still upset and angry but right now it could wait.
"Eat something, Vamika needs you-- you can't fall sick", he opened his eyes after 10 mins only to see Rohit sitting infront of him with a plate.
Virat sat straight at that before he could take the plate from Rohit, he already Rohit forwarding a bite to him, "eat", he said.
Virat had two bites and he heard Vamika's low voice, he saw Aman holding her, "princess what's wrong", he was already infront of them taking Vamika in his arms.
Virat sat on the couch beside Bhuvi again, "what happened?", he asked caressing Vamika's cheek gently.
"U were not there, I got scared", she said clutching his jacket in her little fist, "I am here only bacha, I just came outside for a min", he said gently to which Vamika nodded.
"What were you doing?", she asked seeing everyone there, "Your Rohit Chachu is making me eat your favourite rice-- wanna have a bite?", Virat asked as she didn't had any solid food since morning.
"Yes but why is making you eat? Are you a child?", Vamika asked curiously which made everyone chuckle.
"Why do you say that princess?", Virat asked ignoring everyone's chuckling, he wanted to know what did she understand by that.
Vamika looked up at him, "you only feed like this to children, right?", she asked.
"No bacha, part of what you saying is correct but feeding each other food is a form of love and care. Now you can eat on your own right, you are a big girl?", he explains to which Vamika nodded.
"But still sometimes I make you eat when you feel lazy, want to be pampered or you are sick, it's a form of care between two people be it friends or father-daughter like us, understood", Virat said softly. Vamika nodded in understanding.
Everyone was in awe with the patience and with the words Virat was making her understand. He was making sure that she learn empathy and understand the form of care people can have for each other.
"What your Dada said is right little one but what you asked is also true, your Dada is a child-- he used to throw tantrums for eating food when he was sick, he is-- was very cranky", Rohit said making the atmosphere lighter.
Vamika giggled at that, Virat smiled at that giggle. Rohit forwarded some rice to Vamika and she has 2-3 bites. Virat gestured Rohit to have something while he took Vamika to walk in the lawn for sometime.
"Dada, Dada look", everyone was just watching how Virat was so attentive towards Vamika's each gesture, they saw how was Virat looking at a small butterfly which Vamika showed him.
After half hour, Vamika slept again as she was hardly getting any sleep for long time so Virat let her have this small naps.
"We will leave now, you should take rest as well", Jinks said on behalf of everyone. Virat nodded at that. Jinks hugged him and Virat buried his head in his shoulder which only Jinks, Ash seemed to notice.
"Actually I think we would stay, Mahi bhai you take the juniors back to the hotel, me, Bhuvi, Jaddu and Jinks would stay here with Rohit", Ash said declaring it.
"We will join you for the practice tomorrow", said Jaddu, juniors didn't want to go but Mahi told them that they could visit again tomorrow as he understood it would be easy for Virat with the seniors, his friends.
"I will go with them and bring our stuff, Virat-- planning to stay here, right?", Jaddu asked to which Virat just nodded in yes, "Vamika likes open space so", Jaddu acknowledged and he along with Ash, Bhuvi went to the hotel to get their things for all 5 of them.
They went and Virat called Aman as both of them got to arrange things in spare bedrooms while Jinks, Rohit got freshened up in the mean time.
"Are you okay?", asked Aman as they were arranging the last room, "yes ofcourse, what will happen to me", Virat said.
"Virat bhai", Aman asked gently.
"I don't know Aman, I just don't know-- I am worried about my daughter more than anything else", Virat said and they got downstairs to make dinner.
Virat went in Vamika's room to check on her, only to see cuddling close to her soft toy. He caressed her hair softly noticing that she slept properly for half hour which was a good sign, he gently kissed her forehead, "dada will make sure that you get all the happiness in the world", he whispered softly.
Jinks kept hand on his shoulder as he had come to check on her, "is that the soft toy Rohit bought for her when u gave the news", he asked to which Virat nodded.
"She just never leaves it, she loves that penguin plushie", said Virat, "she couldn't say plushie so says push, push", he said having a soft smile.
"It seems she recognised his love in that", Jinks said softly to which Virat just hugged him, "Everything will be fine, you are not alone Virat", Jinks said gently.
