Our past

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was Saturday, my favorite day. I didn't have a lot to do. I had one english assignment, one math assignement and one physics assingment of course. I started with english. It wasn't too hard. I just had to do some research and I was done in about 40 minutes. After that math. It wasn't as easy as I thought. I spent like an hour and a half on it. And last came physics. I opened it, read the instructions and questioned my whole entire existence. ,,What the hell is this?" I asked myself trying to figure out all the numbers and letters in there. I spent like thirty minutes looking at it before I decided to call David. ,,Hello?" He said with a raspy morning voice. ,,What the fuck is this?" I angrily asked him. ,,What? What are you talking about?" He said sounding confused af. ,,The physics assignment David! I have been staring at it like a stupid donkey for the past 45 minutes and I still don't understand anything." I said frustrated. ,,Good morning to you too." He laughed on the phone. ,,I would say good morning, but I won't cause it's terrible." I said. ,,You know what? Get ready and come to my house. I'll help you." He said with a sleepy voice. ,,You better." I said and hung up.

I took a nice shower, put on shorts and a hoodie and packed my stuff in a bag. ,,Hey mama, hey aunt Jess." I said as I was walking down the stairs. ,,Good morning." They said simultaneously. ,,Where are you off to?" My mom asked. ,,I'm just gonna go see David. I have this stupid physics assignement that I need help with." I said. It was a bit risky tho. ,,Oh, to your very good friend's house. I know I be joking, but don't confuse that with me being okay with you going out with a thirteen years older than you man." She said. ,,No mama, I am going out with a man who loves me, a man who was ready to risk his life so he can help my family, a man who is smart, a man who is caring and a man who is hot as hell." I said and smiled. ,,Love ya." I said, kissed her on the cheek and left the house.

I was at his house and I rang the doorbell. He wasn't answering. ,,He must be sleeping." I said to myself. I went to open the door and it was unlocked. ,,What a safe man." I thought. ,,David?" I said as I walked in and took of my shoes. ,,David?" I said again as I put my things on the ground and went upstairs in his room. There he was, sleeping like a baby. ,,David." I said quietly. He looked at me, he smiled and he grabbed me so I could lay beside him. ,,David!" I laughed and hugged him. ,,Hi." He said looking at me. ,,Hi." I said and smiled. ,,Morning didn't start well." He asked me. ,,All because of you." I said. ,,Thank you." He stood up. ,,I'm gonna take a shower. Wanna join me?" He asked. ,,Too bad I just showered." I said teasing him. ,,Oh come on." He said dissapointed. ,,No. I am saving myself for tonight." I winked and went downstairs.

While he was showering I made some breakfast and some tea. ,,Look at you." He said walking down the stairs drying his hair with a towel. ,,I made you pancakes with honey and strawberries and some mint tea." I said and turned around to face him while he was standing behind me. ,,My favorite." He said and he kissed me. We sat down, ate and talked for a bit. ,,Can I ask you something?" I said a bit nervously. ,,Sure." He said and smiled at me. ,,Umm, maybe it will get a little uncomfortable, but i must ask you." I said. ,,Yesterday, when my father said that you were his most loyal customer. What did he mean by that?" I asked and immediately noticed how his face changed. ,,Not important." He tried to shrug it off. ,,David, I don't want to make you uncomfortable, and I don't want to push you, but the fact that my father knows you and had something to do with you... I just want to know about it." I said. ,,April... Fine....I'll tell you." He said and put down his fork. ,,Years ago, like when I was 18, I was all alone. My mother had gone to prison and my father had a new wife and kids and together they moved to California leaving me alone. Now because I was eighteen I was an adult and no one ever came to check up on me. Even tho the situation was bad as it was, for me it was freedom. I started loving myself, going out to clubs, going out with girls, drinking alcohol and so on. One night I was having too much fun. One of my friends had weed so he gave me some. I tried some weed and it felt like heaven. The next party I tried some pills and then came cocaine. I got addicted so fast that I became a mess. And ironically enough your father was my dealer. He was my dealer for three years. That's way he said my most loyal customer, cause I was the only one who made it to three years. The other addicts died a year, a year and a half in. When I turned 21 I checked into rehab and gave your father's name to the police. I have been clean for ten years and I guess your father has been on the hunt for me for ten years." He said and looked down on his plate. He couldn't look me in my eyes. ,,Oh David, I am so sorry." I said and hugged him. He sat me in his lap and hugged me so hard, he got the air out of me. ,,I am so sorry you had to go through all that and that my father is such an awful part of your life." I said. ,,It's okay. While I was in rehab I found the joy in physics. When I got out I immediately went to University and years later I am a physics professor giving stupid assignments to my favorite girl in the world." He laughed and kissed my forehead.

After that he helped me with my physics assignment which wasn't so hard after all and then we watched a movie. When 3 o'clock hit I decided to go home and start getting ready for our date tonight.
