In general, when people fight, they become weak and tired. But in the world of Hero Wars, when heroes fight, they become more powerful. They level up. So the more the heroes delay, they will become powerful, that's true, but even the villains will become stronger as well...
In the past few days, Artemis and Galahad had become even closer. The battle made them fear their peers, that they might end up killing each other due to something. So they preferred to be under each other's eyes. They took care of each other. A bond began to form. They currently lived in Artemis' house in Strongford, the capital of the Dominion.
"When I attacked you that day, do you think I was strong?", Artemis asked.
"Well... Yeah, you were pretty good.", Galahad replied, stroking the fire and making food.
"Were you scared that I would kill you?"
"Yeah."
"See, I improved in the past couple of months. I could finally make your fear my power!"
"I think it was because of the Archdemon possessing you. His powers were on the play, I think."
"Haha, funny."
Just then they heard something getting crushed. Then something blasted. People began to yell, and they could hear hurried footsteps. Artemis and Galahad rush out to see the place on fire. Houses and shops were blown up and some roofs were ripped apart. They both got their weapons ready and went to see who was creating this chaos.
They both went into the midst of the ashes of the burnt infrastructure. Luckily none of the people were harmed. They could hear whispers and roars. Galahad thought it was the Archdemon, but it turned out to be different.
Inside a glowing orb stood a man in a full suit of armor with his face hidden behind a hood. He was wielding a Scythe, which was emanating a lot of light. Even though Galahad and Artemis were far from him, they could feel the heat. As the man came closer, the temperature increased. Artemis felt thirsty because her throat became dry. Upon closer look, they could see his eyes burning like fire. The orb disappeared.
"One of the Archdemon's minions huh?", Galahad asked.
"No.", he said and charged at Galahad.
Oops, it might have touched his nerve. He deflected the attack made by the man with his scythe. He was quite powerful. At one point, Galahad got distracted when Artemis was whacked aside by something else. Or perhaps, someone else. He found that out when he saw a woman draped in a cloth with a demon face printed in the front, coming from the smoke. She was wielding a spear in her left hand and... something was glowing in her right hand. Wait. Does she even have a hand?
