As much as Spiderman's identity was a secret, the mere fact that he existed, was not. Something that Ethan was deeply grateful for considering he could barely look a fast-food worker in the eye without stuttering. Regardless of his true feelings on the matter, a mass of people had become enamored with the red and blue spider-themed vigilante. One of those people was you. Unfortunately, you had fallen down the rabbit-hole and developed a bit of an obsession over the Superhero, spending a decent chunk of time watching clips of him. At first, you just thought he was sorta cool, but as time went on you convinced yourself you could become a hero too.
To be fair, you weren't expecting to become a fully-fledged crime fighter. You just figured it'd be useful to walk around town reporting some petty crimes and maybe helping some old ladies cross the street or something. That was until a local store was getting robbed and you- clad in a pink and white catsuit- dashed in after alerting the police. After that, you became pretty well known, being dubbed 'Pink Pantheress' partially because of how easily you were able to maneuver around criminals and agility, but mainly because of your costume and the cat ear headband that you adorned with it. As much as the city appreciated you, the concept of what you were doing terrified you. And it didn't help that 9 times out of 10 you were wholly unprepared for whatever situation you found yourself in, meaning that the well accustomed Spiderman often had to step in for you.
In all honesty Ethan didn't mind helping you. He didn't mind you at all, it's just that you were so stubborn. Refusing his help until the very last second and never giving him even a slight acknowledgment. Not a nod or a thank you, you just dash away. If he wasn't so bitter your speed would be impressive, years of dance and being on the middle school track team paid off, I guess. You didn't mean to be rude, but it was embarrassing. Every time something started he was right there, like the thought you couldn't do it yourself, and so confident in you needing him. He never even introduced himself, but he was always in your fucking space. Amateur as you may be, it didn't make it any less degrading when he followed you around. But here you find yourself, in the middle of central park struggling against a gang when he showed up, effectively stopping the criminals just as the police arrived. You tried to calm yourself down, letting out a large sigh. The noise causing him to look over and start walking to you. "Everything alright Kitty?" he asked. You hadn't actually seen him up close before, too embarrassed and resentful towards the hero you once idolized to stay for any amount of time after a fight unless it was needed. Now though, he was up close, making the fact that he was over 6 ft tall and towered over you very noticeable, that's not even addressing how the skin-tight spider suit he wore defines his muscles perfectly. You were snapped out of your thoughts suddenly. "Hello??? Kit are you okay?" Rolling your eyes at the nickname "Yeah I'm fine. And stop fucking calling me kitty." Ethan took a moment, shocked at your snapping before realizing you were walking away. "What is your problem with me?" God, he wouldn't let up would he.
"My problem with you, bugboy, is that you seem to think I need your help" "Kitty, you do need my help for fucks sake, you almost just died." You stared at him processing what he said. You knew he was right, you did almost just die, and you did need his help, but it sucked. As you thought about what to say next, Ethan took a step closer to you, grabbing your gloved hand. "Let me help you." he pleaded. "I don't even know you." The tension was palpable. "Then maybe you should get to know me."
