Patrick was once again meditating in the pool. It was night and the stars were as clear as ever. Just the way the boy liked it.

He saw flashes of blue lightning striking the ground and heard the clash of swords that sounded like thunder.

He suddenly was taken out of his visions when he heard someone splash the top of the pool. He grumbled in annoyance and floated to the top where he saw Kitty, the girl they had recruited.

Patrick: Can I help you?

Kitty: yeah, two things, one, why do you, like, meditate at the bottom of the pool? (She looked up at the sky) at night?

Patrick: helps me stay in tune with the water. It's not really your business. (He hopped out of the pool and forced the water off him and drying himself.) What else did you want? Do we have a mission?

Kitty: yeah, something about a new mutant.

Patrick: (Patrick threw on a shirt and looked down at he) Where? 

Kitty: Mississippi.

The Blackbird

The entire team were in the Blackbird due to it being a weekend. Patrick was staring out the window while Logan looked at him slightly concerned.

Logan: Nightmares again?

Patrick didn't answer and just stared out the window.

Mississippi Hospital

The X men were sitting in a van right outside of the hospital. The Professor was trying to read some kid's mind

Patrick: How does this help us?

Professor X: Yes Patrick, the boy Cody is the key to finding our Rogue. But he's unconscious and his mind is elusive. To isolate his memory patterns, i need someone on the inside.

Logan: and that's where Jean comes in.

Patrick leans against his seat, arms crossed. 

Professor X: Logan, Kitty, Kurt, would you three mind going to an address, we have something.

Patrick: I'll go two.

Logan: you sure Beach Boy?

Patrick: yeah, I need some action.

Wolverine put his mask on wand led Nightcrawler, Shadow Cat and Ocean Breeze into an alley that led to a residential.

Shadow Cat: So, does this just like bite, or what? 

Wolverine: the Prof says the girl's mind is confused and difficult to pinpoint and exact location. (He opened a nearby dumpster and looked inside) So keep looking. 

Patrick levitated up with a nearby puddle to get a better view.

Nightcrawler: what's his deal?

Wolverine: what, Beach Boy? He's just got a lot on his mind. 

Shadow Cat: Like what?

Wolverine: to start- (suddenly he lifted his head head and sniffed) 

Nightcrawler: You got a scent?

Wolverine: Yeah, I smell fear...

He looked up at Ocean Breeze, who looked back down at him. The two nodded at each other before Ocean Breeze propelled himself ahead with a vortex.
