I sat on my hammock and rocked back in fourth, my thoughts were silent for the first time.
"Cmon brother, you cant stay in here all day" Tsireya whined "go away" i said, laying on my hammock "Its about him.. isnt it" She said, stopping her annoying tug on my arm, "What do you think?" I snapped back in a harsh tone, her lip quivered, "I miss him too, but we have to live our life on.. we have a place in the village" She quietly whispered, holding back her tears "I know.. but i need more time, i cant live my life.." I muttered, she stood in silence, then she left me alone. I felt the tears trickle down my cheek, something in my heart died the day he did..
[flash back]
"Why must you constantly fight me, Aonung" Neteyam said, laughing softly at Aonungs persistent fight, "Because, your forest" Aonung said plainly, Neteyam stopped laughing "That shouldn't define anything" He said, softly.
Aonung and Neteyam grew closer, they would meet at night and hang out, they understood each other.. felt each other's pain, Aonung knew what its like to be held with such big responsibilities as neteyam.. he understood his pain and constant cries.. One night when Aonung went to meet him he saw him crying, his head tucked into his knees "Neteyam.. whats wrong?" He asked softly, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, "He hit me.." Neteyam muttered "What? Who?" He asked, utterly confused "My dad.. He got so upset.. he hit the first thing in his way.. I was in his way.. I'm always in the way" Neteyam said, sobbing quietly "No, no Neteyam your not in the way, he just was too upset and frankly you were the first thing he seen" Aonung winced cause he knew that wasnt the right thing to say "Exactly.. I'm nothing but a loser who stands in peoples ways" He said, crying more "No i didnt mean that. I mean, your dad loves you, he's hard on you because your the oldest, your baby siblings are going to follow in your footsteps, he wants them to be like you, a mighty warrior" Aonung said, smiling as neteyam slightly raised his head, Neteyam smiled, wiping his tears away "Thanks nung.." Neteyam muttered, Aonung didnt hear the nickname at first "You want to hug me, huh" Aonung said, grinning softly "Kinda.." Neteyam said "Fine.. Get it over with" He groaned out, Neteyam wrapped his arms around his waist, Aonung smilled and patted his back "This is torturing" Aonung said dramatically "You know you like it" He giggled "Whatever forest kid" Aonung chuckled.
[end of flashback]
Aonung turned and sobbed "Let him be, Toniwari.. he's not over it yet" Ronal said, putting a hand infront of her husband to stop him from going into the hut "But he need to get up" Toniwari, protested "He's my son.. He feel in love and got hurt.. Let him be" She growled softly Toniwari knew he coudnt go against Ronal, she glared at him as she rocked her new born baby girl, he nodded a soft smile, she turned and walked off, he sighed as he looked at his eldest, bawled up in a ball, crying while thoughts race back in fourth..
