AUTUMN
Autumn never thought she would be in this situation, having to call her brother to tell him she'll be attending a grand prix is something she can't even imagine.
"hello?" Max's voice rang through the cellphone speaker
"hey Max, it's Autumn, how have you been?" the girl answered
"oh, uhm, Hey Autumn, i've been great, i'm getting ready for the Miami grand prix, I haven't heard from you in a long time, I'm glad you called"
"Oh uh, yeah, uhm so Max, you know my best friend jade right?" She paused for a second, receiving a hum in agreement from her older brother "So, we kinda got paddock passes for this years monaco grand prix, but Jade has been begging me to call you because she wants to get an intership with sky, do you think you can pull a couple strings and make a couple calls to see if this internship is possible for her?... I promise I wont bother you anytime soon" she spoke fast and clear
"First of all, you? at a grand prix? this is a miracle, and second, yeah I can talk to my contacts at sky and see where we can get with that internship, also, you should come hang out in the red bull garage, maybe it'll be fun" Max spoke in a calm voice
"As fun as that sounds, I think I'll pass this time,I don't want to be Infront of the big cameras all the time, you know?"
"The actress of this family is camera-shy, how ironic, anyways I have to go. I have some more training to do, see you in Monaco sis"
"yeah, see you there, bye" Autumn hung up and texted Jade that there was a chance she would get that internship
As Autumn thought of the offer Max gave her to hang out in the red bull garage, she realized how much she has missed by not being in constant contact with her family, max won the 2021 drivers championship, Jade was the one to always keep her updated with the whole Formula 1 scene, She was just being the journalist she is.
And what Max said was right, Autumn doesn't really like being in the public eye, she is reserved and keeps to herself, that's why she has been avoiding interviews and the constant question of what is her last name, she knows that the second she is affiliated with the verstappens, it's bye-bye to the little privacy she has in her life.
Jade barged into the apartment, Autumn was regretting the decision of giving her her own key, which was supposed to be only for emergencies,
"So, how did the call with Max go?" Jade asked ploping down on the white sofa
"Well, I just told him about the internship and the GP we're going to, nothing else"
"Ugh you're so boring, shoul've asked him about the drama that goes on behind the scenes, I WANT TO KNOW, DOES THAT HOTTIE CARLOS SAINZ HAVE A GF?????????" Jade yelled making Autumn slightly jump
"okay, one, I'm not interested in the grid drama and two, isn't Carlos like 27?"
"I mean yeah he is, but who cares, he's SO HOT"
"okay okay, calm down there Jade, also there's pasta in the fridge if you want some" Autumn spoke walking out of the kitchen toward the living room
"that's great but sadly I have to go pick up Theo from the airport, that little bitch lost his license in LA"
"how the-"
"he said he got blackout drunk and doesn't remember like 3 days of his whole trip"
"Mother of God, he went for a week and he doesn't remember half of his trip? That boy is something else"
Theo was the oldest of their friend group, Autrmn was the youngest, but she could never understand Theo and his antics.
Jade left shortly after she ate in Autumns apartment, shortly after the blond received a text from her older brother, telling her that he needed some paperwork to get Jade that internship that she oh so wanted and begged for, Autumn texted back saying that she would send it to him ASAP, Jade told her she would turn the car around and tell Theo to get a cab home, Autum laughed at the text she received from her best friend, thinking that Theo will be pissed.
About half an hour later Jade barged back into the apartment this time with two iced matchas in hand and her cellphone ringing in her back pocket, setting down the matchas she answered the phone, surprise, it was Theo on the other end.
"YO JADE WHAT THE FU-" Theo's voice could be heard even though he wasn't on speaker
"Theo, bestie, I love you, but SHUT THE FUCK UP" Jade yelled back as Autumn bursted out laughing at her friends
"CANT YOU SEE THAT THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU GETTING A CAB" she paused listening to Theo. "OH BOOHOO, GROW UP, GET A CAB, WE'LL SEE YOU AT AUTUMN'S" with that Jade hung up and made her way over to Autumn handing her the matcha
"well, that was a lot, okay.... I need your birth certificate, ID, and your Journalism degree" Autumn red out the text Max had sent her
"good thing is that I already have those in PDF" Jade cheered airdropping the documents to her friend
Autumn could see the excitement in Jade's face, she has been dreaming about having something like this for the last couple of years, and now it was finally happening, the brunettes leg was bouncing up and down in despair, with that Autumn sent the documents to her brother.
Now we just play the waiting game
