Peter had promised them hell and he was just getting started.

He loitered around the school, the hospital, and all the other areas the pack would frequent.

He would pass by or make a comment whenever they were around, taunting them with his presence.

Derek and the pack could do nothing but tolerate him. They didn't have actual evidence of any wrongdoing on his part, all they had were their suspicions.

On the other hand, Peter was enjoying tormenting them at every chance. Of course, it helped that there were other strange things afoot. Mysterious ghost ninjas appearing and hunting down the pack. On one occasion, Boyd had resisted them and they ended up slaying him by accident. The blame naturally fell unto Peter and he did nothing to deny. It was easier for him if they believed he would follow through with his threats.

After losing Boyd to the ghosts, Peter had to step in and act himself. Now he was setting the trap to obtain the last thing for the ritual.

As he waited in his truck, his mind wandered – as always – back to Ashley.

He had lost control and ended up hurting a family member. Ashamed of what he had done, he had ran away from home and was hiding out in an abandoned building at the edge of town.

After a few days, it had been Ashley who had found him first. It was a rainy night and he was sleeping inside the storm bunker when he was awoken by a clanging sound. Peter looked up and found Ashley busting the door open and crawling in. From her drenched state, it was obvious to anyone that she had been running around in the terrible weather.

Despite her appearance, she smiled at Peter with her dirt-smeared face. She walked confidently over to him and hugged him.

There was that hug again. The thought came to his mind.

In that instance, Peter allowed himself to be the scared boy he really was and started sobbing against her body. Ashley murmured soothingly to him that everything would be all right. It was that night that Peter started to open up to someone for the first time. Perhaps, it was also the time when he started falling in love with Ashley.

He had vowed at that moment that he would do anything and everything for her.

He had failed to protect her but he was not going to fail in bringing her back.

Derek had just picked up Paige from Beacon High.

Peter followed them as the sky dimmed and night came. When they turned around a corner, Peter took a different way. In several minutes, he arrived at an intersection they were coming up to.

Derek stopped at the stopped sign and as he drove again, his cruiser was suddenly rammed at the sides.

Peter had slammed the gas and drove right into their vehicle. Paige passed out from the shock and Derek was in a daze.

Peter got out of his truck and opened the passenger door.

"Peter...?" Derek whispered, still disoriented from the accident.

"Hello nephew." Peter greeted him with a smug grin. He pulled Paige from the vehicle and carried her into his truck. He tied her hands with a rope and tossed the girl into the back seat of his truck.

"Peter...whut?" Derek stumbled out of the SUV. He tried going after Peter but had been weakened by the crash. "What are you doing...?"

Peter glanced at him through the rearview mirror as he reversed.

"Oh, you know, just a little payback."

He gave his nephew an evil smirk as he drove away from the scene of the crash.
