No spoilers but this is a fic aimed towards the anime not the live adaptation! There'll probably be some grammar mistakes I didn't catch!!
The characters mention in this fic will be. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji with the addition of Chopper and Robin.
<<WARNING>>
THIS ISN'T FINISHED YET!!
This is supposed to be a short fic in the sense of a few chapters/or word count.
Edit: I might have to rewrite the description because it doesn't seem accurate when you read this more
Right now we're smooth sailing on the grand line on a sunny day. I'm helping Sanji by kneading some dough for a dish he's making for lunch. He left a minute ago to bring some iced drinks to Robin and Nami. He'll be a minute since he'll fawning all over them. The dough sticks onto my fingers. The doughy smell delicately leaks around into the surrounding air. Earlier the captain started complaining that he's hungry, as he always does. But the thing was that Sanji wanted to try making a new dish and told the captain it'd be a while longer than normal for lunch to be ready. You would've thought Luffy was honestly starving from the way he started screaming after hearing that.
Sanji was unamused and just said while lighting up a new cigarette "It'd go a lot faster if I got some help." Luffy immediately volunteered. "IT CAN'T BE YOU! YOU'LL JUST EAT EVERYTHING INSTEAD OF HELPING!!" Sanji quickly shot down his captain. Luffy volunteered me next after scanning nearby seeing who was doing their own thing and who looked like they could help Sanji. "Y/N GO HELP SANJI!" I was just fishing off the side of the boat so I was alright with helping "Got it, captain!" After following Sanji to the kitchen he told me to wash my hands and gave me some instructions.
I folded the dough into itself and added a little bit of flour to get it to stop sticking to me. Stretching and reforming it until the flour was lost in the mix. This is a crazy forearm workout. My muscles aren't on fire but I can feel the soreness started to creep into them. I have to mix a lot of dough for lunch. The door opens but I continue slapping around the dough. I'm surprised Sanji came back as fast as he did...is it Sanji? I turn my head around to my side to see who came into the kitchen.
Tall?
Tan?
Zoro.We look at each other for a minute. Before I go back to the task literally in my hands. Zoro and I don't talk to each other more than we have to. The guy is a little intimidating and I joined the crew later so I really don't know him. I'm assuming he looked away too but I can't hear him moving around. Is he just watching me? He might've been asleep when Luffy told me to go help Sanji.
"You're helping the cook?" That answers it.
"Yeah, I am Luffy told me too. The lunch would take longer to make if I wasn't here." I started slowing down a bit in my mixing.
"Do you know how long it'll take to finish?"
"I don't- I don't even know what this dough is gonna be."
"You weren't listening to him?"He started to chuckle a little as he realized.
"Only for a second."
I think Zoro likes making fun of Sanji, so not listening to him is amusing for him. Maybe I can play it up a bit. I wouldn't mind talking to him. "I started to fall asleep just listening to him." He laughed at hearing this but then let a cough start to cover it. I can hear him move away but I know he's still in the kitchen. I look at him and he's just looking through the fridge. Sanji won't be too happy. "Watch out Sanji will be back soon. He left a while ago to give some drinks to Robin and Nami." I picked up the pace in my folding. "Don't worry about him." Zoro said still looking through the contents of the fridge. Probably looking for some sake. I noticed the dough stopped sticking onto me as much. Zoro and Sanji are very strong and daily get into fights so neither being scared of each other makes sense. I turned to Zoro but only heard the shutting of the wooden door. Maybe he didn't want to fight the cook right now, picking and choosing his battles.
