Your face practically asked the question without moving your lips.
"We don't exactly know what's here," you knew he meant the island, "Nami doesn't seem to have a good enough idea of the place either." He looked away from you. Sensing that the next thing he'd say would be a bit different you waited to see what. "I'm going to go check it out but...," a nervous hand wraps around the back of his neck, "But uh the crew thinks I get lost easily so, if you can, do you mind joining me?"
Oh wow. You have heard from the crewmates of Zoro getting lost. But maybe this was normal for him to ask someone to come with him. The only thing is that they probably have their own ways of not getting lost with him. Like Luffy stretching upwards and becoming a living periscope. You don't really know how to keep each other from getting lost. But while thinking of Nami's way of doing it, you thought of a small compass that you had. "I don't mind, are we going right now?" You needed to pass by your room. "We can but are you ready?" He notes mentally how you have nothing on you in preparation for the adventure; no bags, or weapon. Even so, he seems better and more forward in how he talks now that he has expelled the question. "I just need to grab some things so we can get back to the ship." Zoro had an idea of what you'd grab and agreed to meet back at the entrance door where he'll be waiting for you.
You pull on the handle of a drawer in your desk. Where the compass sits in the dark back in a leather pouch, you grab it and open the drawer above it to look for a pen and notebook. You carry the strap of the cross-body bag you had hung on the corner of your desk chair over your body after putting in your essentials. You put on an olive green rain poncho you had that almost looked like normal linen. It still seemed stylish, stopping a few inches below your knees with slits on the side. Enough coverage to keep your bag out of the rain. Three silver snap buttons along the collar that seemed oversized, with it stretching nearly to your shoulders. When buttoned up it could completely protect your neck. You donned a waterproofed hat instead of carrying an umbrella. You weren't sure how far Zoro was planning on entering but you didn't want to be soaked. The door to your room opens and closes as it says good luck. You walk out of your part of the hallway and toward the entrance to the lower deck where Zoro said he'd be.
"Chopper?" You see the brown-furred doctor with Zoro as the two were seemingly hanging out. Chopper greeted you, "Hi Y/n!" Zoro, who has on some rain gear of his own, goes to open the door and Chopper follows behind him. You guess Zoro didn't think of telling you that he invited Chopper along. But you wonder why Chopper doesn't have anything to protect him from the rain. The door opens and you can hear that more rain has begun falling in comparison to the drizzle you felt earlier into a more moderate one. Zoro didn't say anything but without any coercion, Chopper explained to you about his appearance. "I'm not joining you guys, I'm just going to pull up the ladder after you guys leave." The wind outside didn't change, it stayed the same as a breeze. "Oh okay, you don't have an umbrella for the rain?" Maybe it's because of how the crew treats him but it is easier for you to worry more about his well-being. "It's just a little bit of rain, I won't get soaked. But you look like you're ready for a storm." You knew what he meant, it was picked in the sense of being prepared. "That's good, just in case it starts to rain harder on you guys."
You walked beside Chopper as Zoro started to unfasten the rolled-up ladder. You continued the conversation you were having with Chopper, "I thought the same thing and I don't know how long we'll be gone for." You thought about seeing if your earlier guess was correct, "What were you doing before you got here," you asked. "I was with Robin, drinking tea while reading my medical book. I was coming from the bathroom when I saw Zoro and came to help you guys." The ladder unrolled as it fell down the side of the boat. Zoro passed him the untied rope so Chopper could tie it back on after he pulled up the ladder. Zoro went down first and after he got far enough down the ladder you started the descent. "Thanks, Chopper. We'll be back." He wished you two the best before pulling back the rope ladder up aboard the ship.
