POV You

I feel like I have an elephant on top of me, crushing my body and preventing me from moving. I hear sounds, but it's like I'm underwater and the noises are distorted by the water.

I try to open my eyes, but my eyelids feel very heavy and it becomes impossible to open them. I don't understand what's happening right now, I'm trying to think and figure out what's happening; but my mind is blank. I try to remember the last thing I did, but nothing; everything is completely blank.

I hear distorted voices, along with a repetitive and clearly annoying beeping sound. But I am not able to distinguish the voices; or what you are saying.

I try to open my eyes again, managing to lift my eyelids just half a centimeter and letting them close again due to the weight.

I wait a few seconds to try to open my eyes again and when I manage to open them; I close them immediately because of the light.

I groan at the amount of light that has come into contact with my eyes, hurting my eyes and making the headache even more acute.

I feel a hand on my forearm, alerting me and letting me know that someone is with me. Although I could tell that from the distorted voices, I didn't know who they were and how many people were in the place.

When I open my eyes again, I start to see the different colors and shapes of the place. But I am not able to process everything I just saw, since I could not continue with my eyes open and the amount of light was increasingly unbearable.

I don't know at what point, the voices begin to become clearer and begin to lose that effect of being underwater. I can begin to distinguish the voice of my grandfather and probably my grandmother. Since there are two female voices and only one male.

Grandpa: Hey, calm down boy.- I make out how he says, leaving a squeeze on my left arm.

Y/n: Light.- I whisper as best I can, feeling my throat drier than the desert and the word scratching my vocal cords.

Grandpa: What's wrong with the light, son? - He asks me and I try to open my eyes again; but the light intensity is still too strong.

Y/n: It hurts.- I manage to say and immediately hear movement around the place.

Grandma: Ready, honey.- I hear what she says from my right side.

I try to open my eyes carefully, so that the collision between black and the light of the place is not too harsh. But when I start to open my eyes, I see that the place is darker and that the light from the place does not hurt me as much.

My eyes scan the room, realizing that I am in a hospital room and that the repetitive beeping I was hearing was the heartbeat. Once I know where I am, I pay attention to the people in the room; meeting my grandfather, grandmother and Kiara.

Kiara: You scared the shit out of us you idiot.- she tells me with a tired sigh.

Y/n: What happened? - I asked confused, not understanding what happened and how I ended up in a hospital bed.

Grandpa: Don't you remember anything, son? - He asks me a little worried and I shake my head, trying to sit down. -Hey, calm down.- he says, stopping me immediately and preventing me from getting up.

Kiara: What's the last thing you remember? - she asks me worried.

Y/n: Nothing, everything is blank and I don't remember anything.- I respond completely confused.

Grandma: Honey, go get the doctor, please.- she tells my grandfather, who immediately nods and leaves the room. -And it's enough for you young man, you don't know how scared we were.- she assures me with a serious gesture, but I can see the worry in her eyes.
