10 Love Letter
The profile picture seemed familiar, but the ID was the complete opposite.
Holding her phone, Kim Minji searched for an empty conference room. After confirming once more, she pressed the call button. The connection was swift.
"Hello?" came the voice from the other end.
"Hey there!" Kim Minji took a deep breath. "Is this Mr. Dog?"
"This is our first time talking, right?" The person on the other end wasn't particularly courteous.
"Please use my full name!"
Not sure if this cheeky guy was messing with her or what, considering the favor she needed, Kim Minji had to follow his order and lower her voice.
She said, "Are you Mr. 'I am Haerin's Dog'?"
Two weeks had passed since the slap and Kim Minji and Kang Haerin didn't talk at all.
Actually, they hadn't been in touch because Kang Haerin had blocked her a long time ago. If it weren't for Ryan eagerness to act like some stupid TV drama and showing up at Kim Minji's house to cook, they wouldn't have crossed paths.
After Kang Haerin slapped her and forcefully shut the car door, it seemed like Kim Minji should chase after her. However, she just sat in the driver's seat, watching Kang Haerin walk away.
There is a word called apologize, right? Kim Minji, who had never apologized before, considered a few options, all of which felt nauseating and contrived.
It wasn't exactly an apology; she just didn't want Kang Haerin to misunderstand. They were doing good in bed—nothing more and nothing less, that's all.
Until one morning, she saw news about NewJeans' album resale. Purchasing five albums allowed participation in a draw, and winners could join a video call session with NewJeans members.
She came up with a plan.
Kim Minji would never buy an album, and she didn't like uncertainties. So, she opted for a more efficient approach: buying a slot in the second-hand website. The person with the username "I am Haerin's Dog" claimed to have an exam that day, tearfully reselling the slot.
Following Mr. Dog's (the original ID is too embarrassing to say out) instructions, Kim Minji rode her motorcycle to the agreed-upon location.
There was only one student standing there, wearing glasses and carrying a backpack. The student waved when he saw Kim Minji.
As she approached, Kim Minji asked, "So, you are Mr. Dog?"
The student adjusted his glasses and replied, "So you are MJ?"
After sizing up Kim Minji and her motorcycle, he exclaimed, "Wow, you look so cool! This is my first time meeting someone who likes Kitty in person."
Kitty...
What a nickname!
It seems that there's more than just Ryan who has become acquainted with Miss Kang Haerin.
Kim Minji asked, "Did the student really have so much money for all those albums?" Albums weren't cheap, and Mr. Dog claimed to have bought a hundred.
CEO Park was savvy in business; the slot seemed to be random, but everybody knew it was the matter of the number of purchases. The more you spent, the higher your chances of meeting the idol.
"I'd been saving up! It took a while!" Mr. Dog proudly shared, "I survived on a single piece of bread every day; that was my meal money."
His stomach growled audibly.
