13 Sweet

In the beauty salon, the makeup artist scrutinized Haerin in the mirror.

"Haerin, have you been trying out some new skincare routines lately? Your skin looks fantastic! It's literally radiant!"

Haerin, with her eyes closed, remained silent. She quietly wished that the makeup artist wouldn't catch on to the blush coloring her cheeks.

The phone rang.

Haerin waited until the makeup artist was busy fetching something before opening her eyes to check.

It was a message from Kim Minji.

The message was brief, stating that she had just woken up and was getting ready to go to the company.

"Or maybe not," added another message from Kim Minji.

In the past week, life has been unbelievably sweet.

Firstly, she removed Kim Minji from her blacklist.

That morning, after a nice nap in Kim Minji's cuddle, at the moment the alarm went off, Kim Minji woke up. She, like a robot, woke Haerin up and urged her to get ready.

When the two of them dressed neatly and arrived at the parking lot, Kim Minji said, "Which car do you want to take?"

The options were the blue Lamborghini used to pick up Haerin for the TV station and the ordinary black SUV that witnessed Haerin slapping Kim Minji.

Kim Minji, indeed, lacked any romantic inclinations.

Haerin said, "That one."

She pointed at the motorcycle parked in the corner.

Kim Minji was taken aback, "Are you sure?"

"You don't have a helmet?"

"I have." Kim Minji replied as she went to the nearby car to retrieve a helmet.

"We need to hurry; you're going to be late," Kim Minji said. "Hold on tight."

She extended her long arms backward, took Haerin's hands, and placed them on her waist.

"Like this."

The thick helmet obscured everything except a pair of round eyes.

Haerin hugged tightly, her face pressed against Kim Minji's back.

The engine roared to life, and the rhythmic beating of their hearts blended with the noise of the exhaust pipe.

In the underground parking lot of the beauty salon, Kim Minji didn't even take off her helmet. Neither did she say goodbye; she drove away the moment Kang Haerin got off the motorcycle.

Again, really? Is it polite to let others smell the exhaust fumes?

Haerin was heading to the elevator when she heard the familiar sound of a motorcycle.

Kim Minji came back.

"Kang Haerin!" Kim Minji called her.

"Um," Kim Minji seemed like she wanted to scratch her face or something. Realizing she couldn't do it through the helmet, she dropped her hand.

"Unblock me," Kim Minji said briefly, making eye contact with Haerin shortly before looking away.

"What?" Haerin asked.
