The Paldean Vacation Adventure with the ES Squad!

The Boat Ride to Kitakami

As the boat slowly rides to Kitakami, Sylvia had been plotting a way to get herself and Lazuli with Speed, she also got the help from Airalin. She was determined that this plan of hers would work. There was no impossible way it wouldn't.

Speed was holding onto Sunshine as she groaned in slight pain. This caused him to worry just by the slightest. Axel was also worry about his best friend. He was like Speed, whenever he heard a slight groan from Sunshine, he'd be worried and think about the negatives things that could happen to her. So he'd stay close and kept his hopes up.

Gai was with Sev talking about terastalization. Gai was intrigued but he wondered if he'd end up like Sunshine if he decided to use it, Gai was also thinking of this as well. Sev was also intrigued that Gai was so interested in terastalization.

Mollie, was looking around the ship, she was wondering if there was anything to serve since this boat ride was probably gonna be long. While looking around, she found an odd cartridge with a label named "Hypno's Lullaby." She was curious about this cartridge and what it does since she's never seen one in her life. Crystal and Flare had also followed their mom and found their one piece, loads of chocolate chip cookies in jars, a full cabinet of cookies too! Mollie giggled when she saw her children gasp at how many cookies they saw.

Mollie: If your dad was still alive, he could've gave you these amount of cookies every month.

Flare and Crystal looked at each other and thought their mother was joking. Mollie wasn't joking.

Sylvia had also came as well and saw Mollie hold the cartridge in her really fluffy tail.

Sylvia: Mollie, oh my gosh! Your tail is so.. big and fluffy. I could just use it for a pillow!

Mollie smiled at this comment from Sylvia.

Mollie: Why, thank you! It's actually how I was able to get the golden ticket to be here.

Sylvia was confused and stared at Molly with confused eyes.

Sylvia: What...?

Mollie giggled a bit then she turned her attention to Crystal and Flare, who were shooting each other with cookies, trying to eat them while they fly at them.

Mollie: Silly goobers... my silly goobers.

As Mollie walked away, going to watch the cartridge, Crystal and Flare followed her as if they were babies depending on their mother for protection and love.

Sylvia was still confused and turned to face... us?

Sylvia: This reminds me of the time when someone told me that males could pretend to be girls. I'm starting to think we all pretended to be the opposite gender atleast once.

Back with Speed and Axel

Speed noticed Sunshine waking up slowly from her long nap and she seemed... fine?

Speed: Sunny, are you ok?!

Sunshine groaned and nodded but when she tried to speak all that came out was a ragged voice... she lost her voice... it had to be a side effect from her terastalization. Speed realized this and didn't know what to do except smile at his daughter and make sure she was content. Sunshine, even without a voice still expressed her happiness through tears and her little smile. Axel noticed this too and waved at his best friend.

Axel: Hey... Sunshine? Are you ok?

Sunshine looked at Axel, tried to speak, then failed, but nodded with a smile. Axel smiled too as he saw Sunshine was still agile and full of energy as ever and they played tag. Speed smiled as he then had a pissed face. Sev never told ANYONE about this type of side effect... it was... odd. VERY ODD. It was like, he's hiding something much more terrible that's going to happen to Sunshine. Speed quickly dashed to Bolt, told him what's going on and Bolt was shocked.

Bolt: What?! AND HE NEVER TOLD YOU?!

Speed nodded and noticed Sev talking to Frank about something...

Frank was currently talking to Sev about this whole adventure.

Frank: So, Sev... this partner or EX you have... you sure she will help us willingly? No matter if she hates you or others?

Sev: I hope so... she has been surrounded by people who has lied to her for her whole life... I've lied to her once... it caused one of the worst disasters I've been in...

Airalin appeared behind Sev and yawned.

Airalin: Where are the goddamn beds-?

Sev pointed down and Airalin nodded, knowing where to teleport.

Speed, after trying to cool his rage launched a Thunderbolt at Sev but it was blocked by a Moonblast and Ice Beam. Speed was confused until he turned to Lazuli and Sylvia. He growled at the two, then he walked up to Sev.

Speed: Sev... why didn't you tell me about a side effect for this terastalization on Sunshine was... losing her voice?!

Lazuli and Sylvia paused before lookibg at each other and then at Sev... Frank was confused as well...

Sev: I... didn't know... s-sorry...

Speed was getting agitated. He didn't know how to control this rage. He was thinking straight and instead of attacking Sev... he attacked Lazuli and Sylvia with a Thunderbolt... it landed. Sev and Frank retaliated but Speed countered it and use Pin Missile. Speed was just full of rage and kept using Thunderbolt... Lazuli was paralyzed from the previous Thunderbolt but she was still able to move. Sylvia also was able to move since she wasn't paralyzed but she knew Speed needed to be calm down... so she launched a Moonblast but it was quickly blocked by Speed's Raging Bolt(haha get it)

Much more Pokémon appeared... As almost everyone saw how enraged Speed was, they were confused on how he's keeping all this pent up rage... Sev then decided to take matters in his own hands as he runs into Speed's Raging Bolt, he lands a clean Ice Punch to his neck, causing him to pass out... but not before he raised one of his paws, while still using Thunderbolt and slams his fist to the floor of the ship and then... nothing happened... Speed was on the floor... Sunshine watched only the part where Sev knocked out her father and she ran up to Speed.

Sunshine: Daddy... Daddy? DADDY!

Sev backed away from where Speed was and was now more stressed than ever. As hours passed, the boat had reached Kitakami. Sev slowly helped everyone off... besides Speed. Sev and Speed gave each other glares before looking away from each other. As everyone looked at Kitakami, the ton of shops, the friendly Pokémon, the smell of food, even this was a serious mission to save Sunshine. Everyone slowly approached different shops. Sev realized he probably shouldn't let everyone out first bit it's too late. Speed grabbed Sev by the neck and growled.

Speed: Let's go. We're leaving the others behind. I don't care if they wanted to help.

Speed slowly let Sev down and then waited for Sev to lead the way. Before he could, Sylvia was going to take Sunshine to show her something but Speed... he simply pushed her away. Sylvia was shocked and started to cry but made sure Speed didn't see. Sunshine and Sev looked at Speed with an astonished look, Speed was truly different. His personality... this isn't Speed anymore. It's like... he's a different person. Like someone's else is in control but they just don't know who it could be... As Trace came up to Speed, he gave him a pair of Choice Specs and a Choice Band.

Trace: Speed, I have no idea what's wrong with you... but you're acting way too aggressive. I understand you're doing this for Sunshine, but...

Trace sighed. And just didn't keep speaking, he went back to where everyone else was. Sev tugged ---- back into reality and pointed to a mountain. ---- nodded and hugged Sunshine.

----: You ready to go Sunny?

Sunshine nodded. Not realizing her dad's voice was... way deeper than usual. Sev realized but thought he was on an acid trip and shook that thought off. Sev needed to find thr one person who can help solve this huge problem... only she can do it.
