Soooo for context Travis's birthday is 1oth of February(canon birthday)and You have a string but you can only see it once youre 18(last year of school I think)both people can see it even if they're not 18 yet, as long as the other person turns 18 they can see it.

Travis's pov

It was my 18th birthday. I had to go school today unfortunately.I groan and roll out of bed,expecting a broken grey string around my finger;like my father has; but instead, there's a red string.I smile in happiness and get dressed(the string can like go through stuff)

When I finish getting dressed I run to school, feeling excitement for once to go school as I make it to school I catch my breath and walk in. Hearing sal and his friends speak "I've got a string!! I run into the bathroom and begin to try to get rid of my string but nothing works. I heard you can cut though them..so I grabbed scissors and cut our string. I smile as it worked. I love sal but he can't ever love me.he hates me. He deserves better. Hopefully when sal turns 18 a new string will come and he gets someone he can actually love and they can love him back. Maybe I'm destined to be alone forever. I watch as the string fades to a grey.He doesn't love me. He never will.
