"Goooo" I honked at the person driving in front of me. I'm currently leaving from my doctors appointment and everything went really well. My little baby is healthy and there are no signs of any complications which is good. I was able to hear their little heartbeat and it's the cutest thing ever. Once I'm 18 weeks I'll be able to find out the gender of the baby. Growing up I've always to have a little girl because I love the idea of having a little mini me running around but if I have a boy I'll be more than happy as well. All I want is for my baby to be healthy, so the gender doesn't really matter to me.

Right now I'm heading to this salon to talk about me getting a booth. My only source of income is doing hair out my apartment but I wanted to move my business some place else for the simple fact that Lyndell comes in the house drunk or angry most of the time. Since I'm only 19 it kinda of hard finding a space where people will take me seriously.

Luckily one of my clients works at the salon I'm heading to & she told me she can see about getting me in the open booth they have. Hopefully, it is still available because I need to work outside of my place soon and I need to start making more money for me & my baby.

20 mins later

Finally made it to the salon & it's somewhat of a lot of people here. It combined with a barber shop so of course there's going to be people walking in & out. But it looks really nice, I've passed by here a few times but never been inside. I just hope everything works out for me because I really need this space. "God please let me be able to get a spot in here". I said before getting out the car.

"Hi my name is Beyoncé, Ashley told me to come here about renting out the open booth." I said the girl at the front desk which I have to say she's really pretty.

"Oh yes hey girl, my name is Kelly. She showed us some of your work & gurlll you have some skills. I'm the manger here & I can give you run down about how everything works in here & how much renting it out is gonna cost." She said with so much excitement.

"Nice to meet you & thank you so much. And all of that sounds good to me."

"Perfect, so as you can see we're combined with a barber shop that's on the other side of the wall. Everyone over there is super friendly and we're pretty much like a big family so don't be shy. We provide a lot of the supplies that you'll need & it totally fine if you bring your own stuff like flat irons, product, any set ups..." she went on with giving me a tour of the shop and the run down of everything.

It's a pretty nice sized shop and I'm really starting to like the vibes in here. This reminds me of my moms old salon, it brings so many memories of when I was a little girl watching my mom and her friends doing hair while having all kind of conversation. I've always said when I grow up I wanted to work in a salon just like her.

"So because a lot of the stylist here have a lot of personal things going on outside of the salon I try to make sure that work isn't super stressful for them. The first two weeks you don't need to worry about renting the booth. It's kind of like a trial run to see how you do and how many clients you're bringing in. After the two weeks, if everything goes well then it would be $100 every month to rent it out. But I know life happens and sometimes things come up so if there's ever a time where you need more time to pay for the rent then just come talk to me & we can work things out."

I'm actually shocked by how she runs this salon, I know a lot of managers who don't care nothing about what their employees have going on outside of work & they don't even care to try and work somethings out with their workers. So I think I'm going to like working here especially because everyone here seems super chill and welcoming.

"Okay that sounds really good, I definitely like how you run things around here. When would the two week trail run start?"

"If you're free to come tomorrow around 12pm we can start then. I just need to know your upcoming appointments so I can put you on the schedule."
