It was easy to tell someone was now missing from the apartment, the person missing being a pretty large light in their lives recently. They hadn't noticed until he was gone, but having Donghyuck around made come home from the club a lot nicer than just having an average day like they usually did.Donghyuck was funny, he was kind and he was warm. He was brave and he cared for them all deeply. They all cared for him immensely, which is the reason for him being kicked out. This place was too dangerous for them, let alone a random boy they found on the streets, who they let live with them for a bit.
She would never admit it, but Jane had been taking it the hardest. It was easy to tell she liked the boy, Jaemin had his suspicions she loved him, but that was harder to tell as he hasn't seen their private moments together.
Jaemin missed Donghyuck, he missed him a lot. Sure he had Mark and Renjun, and the other boys, but Donghyuck was different. They were the same in a lot of ways, but Donghyuck hadn't come from the same background as them, and he sure as hell wasn't a stripper. But damn, did Jaemin miss him.
It almost seemed more quiet, which was weird as Chenle was loud, hell even Jaemin was loud when he wanted to be. Mark's laughing was loud, and he hasn't heard it since Donghyuck left. The days went back to normal, them staying wary of the managers, they went to work, then came back home to an empty apartment.
He had been in the bathroom, washing his hands after doing his business. The boy didn't even look into the mirror, not wanting to look at himself. He dried his hands off on a towel, before reaching up to turn the handle on the door, exiting the washroom.
Jaemin headed over to the kitchen, ready to eat a couple crackers before he stopped as he rounded the corner. Dark hair pooled around the chair, and he watched as Jane sat still, looking at the wall as if she was in a trance. She looked lost, and honestly Jaemin felt lost as well.
The girl hadn't noticed his presence, and he sighed before rubbing a hand on his face, pulling out a chair to sit at the table with her. At the scraping sound against the floor, she finally looked up at Jaemin, smiling slightly as a hello. The pink haired boy smiled back, not really knowing what to do.
He watched as she looked back down at the table, her fingers twiddling together in silence. Jaemin hadn't known what she was thinking about, or even feeling, but he wanted to. The thing was, Jane was hard to get through to. She built up walls, they were weak but they were still standing. She didn't like to look weak, and she wasn't, but she was allowed to be sensitive, especially around her brothers.
Jaemin sat up a bit further in his chair, biting his lip a bit.
"I miss him too."Jane looked up at him slowly, no emotion shown in her face still. He watched as she stared a bit, before a few tears welled up in her eyes, herself looking back down at the table.
The pink haired boy looked down as well, reaching up to rub the back of his neck. He felt his stomach shake a bit.
"I think he misses us too." Jaemin started. "He probably misses you the most."Jane slapped his arm, turning away from the boy. Jaemin smiled a bit, leaning back in his chair again, feeling more relaxed. He looked at the girl, a blush evident on her face.
She was rubbing her arm slowly, her face falling a bit as she seemed deep in thought. Jane turned towards the boy, her brows furrowed.
"Where do you even think he is?" She asked quietly.Jaemin frowned, not really ever thinking about it. Donghyuck had no where to go, which is why he ended up with them in the first place. But when you really think about it, was the streets better than being here? With the possibility of being murdered?
