Fast and hard stumping of feet echoed through the dark hallways. Several screams of agony accompanied the hollowed sky. Without the stars there is no light to accompany the wanderers as they walk through the disgusting hallway of Martin's street. A place for people that don't have a home to spend the rest of the terrifying night.

A mother with her child embraced each other as they heard the terrifying scream of people getting killed for some reason. May it be because they stole food to stop the ache on their fleshless stomach or may it be because they need to feed their starving child. Nonetheless, they're not one of those people because they found a trash of food to quench their hunger.

"Mother we need to help them..." The child cried helplessly in her mother's embrace. Looking up to see her mother's pale face.

"We can not..." The mother replied, hushing her daughter to sleep hoping that she won't say another word.

She doesn't want to hear her voice anymore. She no longer wanted to hear any sounds at all.

"But they're suffering." The child cried. Her fist might be small but because they ate some food, she could feel some strength that might be enough to save someone. She doesn't understand why her mother forbids her to do so.

Why they can't save some people? Why can't they help them? She doesn't understand them at all.

Fierra woke up gasping so hard, feeling like she almost forgot how to breathe while still sleeping.

What happened? Why did she dream of that place again?

Still confused about her nightmare. She stayed silent while waiting for her heart to calm down. Her long black ink hair effortlessly hid her pale face. The gentle breeze isn't enough to make her calm.

She hadn't dreamed about her past for so many years yet it appeared now. Now that she finally settled her family's debt and acquired herself a new place to stay. What's wrong with her?

After minutes of trying to put away all her thoughts, she wipe her face and combed her hair using her long narrow fingers. It looks so pretty with the callouses covering every part of it. But whenever she catches someone looking at them she can't help but feel embarrassed.

She stood up and walked towards the window that led her to her room's veranda. Such a luxurious room for an old palace, she's really lucky enough to be remembered by her grandfather. But thinking about her life before, she can't help but feel disappointed for the old man.

If he's going to give this mansion to her, he could have done it sooner. Sooner before her mother passed away. Not even tasting a good life with her. She felt empty, so empty that she didn't even notice that she was now standing in front of a huge garden surrounded by unbloomed flowers.

If not for the small dark lump of a man walking carelessly beside the bushes of roses, she almost wouldn't have noticed the beautiful scenery. Fierra doesn't have the idea of watching him tend to his lifeless garden, but because he piques her curiosity. She now watches him as a sort of entertainment.

Like a small cat walking with a basket of unbloomed roses in his white paws. He's still wearing his favorite black coat, but the difference is, he's no longer wearing his tinted sun glasses. Wait he's no longer wearing sunglasses?

Fierra's eyes suddenly widened. Especially when she saw the lightest blue on earth. The man's eyes were shaped like a cat's eyes, and it posses the lightest color that she haven't seen before. Such a beautiful eyes weren't meant to be hid under dark glasses, yet the man trapped them as if it's a curse that shouldn't be seen by everyone's eyes.

The man silently watered the roses, hoping that somehow it'll bloom. It's been years since he planted the roses yet still, he haven't seen them opened and flourish. As if they're forever be asleep just like his heart.

Maybe he lacks the care or the ability to nurture a life nonetheless, he wanted to see them bloom.

Unaware of Fierra's amused gazes, he continued to watered his plants before he put down his old sprinkler and finally went inside the palace.

Fierra, who was busy watching his move suddenly yelp. She suddenly remembered that this is her palace. This is hers now. Isn't strange if someone just entered the house without her consent?!

Despite the fact that she just woke up, she immidiately run towards the door. There she saw him, attending to her vases, and putting his roses on them. The flowers doesn't look good. It's lifeless and pale, yet still the man hold it with care. She's not a fan of flowers nor she likes flowers. She hated them because she knew that it's an emblem for wealth and love. unfortunately she doesn't have any of those.

"This is my palace we agreeed to that so why are you waltzing around like you own this place?" Fierra stated still looking at the man's lonely face.

He looks so intimidating last night, but now...he's far from that. His lips were form into a frown and his eyes were emotionless. He looks so tired especially now that she can see the dark bag beneath his eyes but still it doesn't take the fact that he looks so good.

Really good.

"Flowers." The man murmured.

After putting the last piece of his rose. He turned to face fierra, who's know eyeing him with full curioisty.

"What?" She shouted. Acting like he didn't hear him at all.

"The place will looks good with this flowers." He said.

Looks good? What's good with his flowers?

She gritted her teeth. Before stomping her feet, Fierra walk closer to her uninvited visitor—not because she wanted to but because she wanted to remove the flowers.

The flowers that has been place on the vase with outmost care was suddenly pulled by her, violently.

The man's eyes widened and he stood there motionless watching his flowers fell.

"What's good with this trash?" Fierra spit with venom in her voice.

It's not a lie at all, the flowers were truly doesn't look pretty. But just like what they say...

Definitely truth will hurt someone's heart.

And with those words, the man who hasn't feel anything for the past few decades. Suddenly felt something in his
heart.

This is the start of something truly crazy.
