The director was called Urvashi and she said that she wanted Aru to act in her debut film.
"It's called In A Few Seconds, Forever. I've wanted to make this movie ever since I graduated, so truly, it should be an honour for you to work on such a sentimental project."
"And you said Étoiles is producing the movie?"
"Yeah, well..." Nikita began. "She's a friend of my mom's, and my mom thought it would be amazing if I produced her debut film." She winced. "But just because Étoiles is producing the film doesn't mean you're obligated to act in it."
"Though it would be amazing if you did." Urvashi said.
"Who's the other lead?"
"I'm still looking for him, but I will find him. It would just make my job easier if you acted in it."
Aru wasn't opposed to the idea. In fact, she was flattered that Urvashi had thought of her in the female lead's shoes.
"Alright. What's the movie about?"
Urvashi's eyes lit up. "Your role's easy for you, because it's a billionaire heir. The story is that she wants a taste of life before she takes over the company. Then, she meets a guy in a town, also a billionaire heir wanting a taste of life, and they fall in love. It's how my parents met." She ended, a soft smile on her face.
"Would you consider the role?" She asked.
"Why not? When does filming begin?"
"As soon as we find the male lead, obviously. We can't start filming without him. And even after we find him, we'll have to do a chemistry test between the two of you to see if, you know, you guys look good together..." She trailed off. "Actually, I think I have someone in mind."
She got up and began to pack up her scripts and the extra cookies. "Can I get your number? I'll contact you later today."
"Uh, sure?"
Aru gave Urvashi her number, and watched as she practically ran out of the building.
"That... was definitely not weird." Nikita said, her eyebrow raised. "Well, at least the shoot's over. We'll send you the final photos somewhere around seven p.m., as usual."
Aru left the building soon after, scrolling through Instagram on her phone.
And, as a consequence, seeing more edits of herself and a certain Aiden Acharya.
She spent six minutes staring at an edit and the comments.
"When the rumours are almost probably true." She read out loud as the edit played "this is what falling in love feels like".
The comments made Aru crack up.

this chapter's kind of short, but eh. if i put more in here there wouldn't be enough for the next aru pov. consider this a filler or smth. also this update was scheduled bc i'll not be able to be my chronically online self anymore, with my dad taking my stuff away and me having to steal his laptop whenever i can.
a bit about my parents for this chapter: my mom used to act in college, even though she'd never considered it a career. my dad found that endearing when she told him :D
