It had been a year since my birthday and I had made new friends . I kept in touch with my school friends but I still felt bad about Darshan and the others so I didn't talk to them . Even they stopped trying to reach me after a while . I got selected to participate in the state nationals and I was really happy . I was sad I couldn't share with them but I had my school friends to support me . I had to stay in a room with a other people since my parents couldn't make it. I stayed at the school I went to in Delhi and u would never guess who I stayed with . I stayed with two boys and a girl . When I entered the room one of the boys were already there . It was Darshan ! I don't think he recognised me as he came and introduced himself this is how it went :
Darshan : Hey ! You must be the other girl I'm staying with . I am Darshan ,what is your name .
Me : Uhh . Hi my name is umm . Ananya ! Nice to meet you Darshan !
I don't know what made me say that but I did . Great now he probably thinks I am some random girl called Ananya . Now if he finds out my real name I will be toast . I still had a small crush on Darshan , but , once I saw him again , all my feelings came rushing back and then I had a mega crush on him !
Later Anjali and Harish of all people walked in the room ! HOW DID I MANAGE TO GET STUCK IN A ROOM WITH ALL OF THEM ! IT WAS LIKE GOD SET ME UP OR SOMETHING ! We introduced our selves and guess what happened ! Yes I did say my name was Ananya , but still ! Anjali called Darshan BABE ! Like bro since when did they start dating ! But yeah I didn't see them for about a year so I am not shocked . BUT STILL ! I was so heart broken that I smiled with tears flooding my eyes and ran out of the room at supersonic speed . I finally saw my friend [ my new friend from Bangalore ] , Shreya , and cried and told her everything . This is what happened :
Me : Sniff . u will not believe what just happened sniff . my old friend Anjali called my old friend - still crush Darshan babe sniff.... can u believe it !
Shreya : Don't worry Vanshika ! You can find some one better than that guy ! Did they even recognise u ?
Me : Sniff .. no I told them my name was Ananya . sniff... they believed it .
Shreya : Then they definitely don't deserve your tears ! You recognised them when they didn't . This just proves your a better friend than them !
Me : sniff . Yeah your right . they don't deserve my time .
Shreya : That's right ! Concentrate on your events not on those fools !
Me : Thanks Shreya ! See you later ?
Shreya : Sure ! Bye !
Me : Bye !
I go back to the room and just started read on the bed as I couldn't find them . They might have gone and looked for Jitesh or someone as I saw Jitesh when I was talking with Shreya . Darshan was the first to come in followed by Harish and Anjali . As I thought Jitesh was with them . They were laughing and chatting like they used to do with me . I couldn't help but shed a tear . Darshan included me in the conversation.
Darshan : Ananya ! Why did u just run out of the room like that ?
Me : [ Slightly annoyed , whispered ] None of your business .
Darshan : Sorry I couldn't hear u. What did u say ?
Me : [ louder a bit more annoyed ] : I said nothing .
Darshan : Ok then . this is Jitesh . He is our friend from Orca , our club name
Me : [ looks back at my book ] Nice to meet you .
Jitesh : you're Ananya right ?
Wow ! Even he didn't remember me ! Just what I needed !
Me : Yup . I think I am going to sleep . We have warm up at five and I am not going to be late .
I closed the book and pretend to sleep when really I was listening to what they are saying .
