I went to USA that night and when I reached next morning , I finally felt better . I was going to stay there with my cousin Akshaya for 2 months . Anjali , Darshini and I talked whenever we could and stayed in touch . One day , we were having a call when this happened .
Darshini : Vanshika , you will not believe what happened !
Me : I'm sure that I'll believe anything that you say .
Anjali : Then you might want to brace yourself
Darshini and Anjali : Darshan has a girlfriend !
Me : Hahaha , very funny .
Darshini : It's true .
Anjali : Yeah .
Me : Ok.... what's this girl's name ?
Anjali : Anishka... a girl in his class . He was telling Krishnan , Sudhan , Harish and Jitesh and we overheard him saying it .
Me : Well , if he want to date someone , then I don't care . it's fine if he doesn't like me . He an like whomever he wants as long as he's happy .
Anjali : You don't feel bad ?
Darshini : Or sad ?
Me : Nope on a rope . I'm fine . Anyways , I've got to go out . See you later .
Anjali and Darshini : Bye !
I leave the call and start crying . Akshaya enters the room and tries to make me feel better .
Akshaya : Hey ! Don't cry ! What happened ?
Me : Darshan has a girlfriend !
Akshaya : Do you know the girl ?
Me : He's mentioned her once or twice , I guess . But other than that , no .
Akshaya : Someone from his class ?
Me : Yes
Akshaya : Leave him, he's not right for you .
Me : But I love him!
Akshaya : Well , holding on to that is just going to make you fell worse . Just leave it .
Me : I'll try .
She continues talking to me about random tuff to cheer me up , when suddenly
Me : [ hears my phone ring ] Oh ! One second
Akshaya : Who is it ?
Me : It's Darshan
Akshaya : Well , pick up !
Me : Fine .[ picks up ] Hello ?
Darshan : Hi Vanshika .
Me : Hey Darshan... what's up ?
Darshan : Nothing important...
Me : [ puts the call on speaker so that Akshaya can hear it ] Ok why did you call ?
Darshan : Well I just wanted to tell you that I got a girlfriend .
Me : I know .
Darshan : How do you know ?!
Me : I heard
Darshan : Who told you ?!
Me : Not telling .
Darshan : You don't feel bad ?
Me : Why should I ?
Darshan : No reason . Anyway , how is US
Me : All good . How's class going ?
Darshan : Good .
Me : I have to go now so bye !
Darshan : Ok , bye .
We cut the call and Akshaya and I get called down for dinner . This was not the fun first week of USA that I had imagined .
