Compose a descriptive essay entitled "Mr. Brown's Haunted House." The essay must be comprised of at minimum three paragraphs and should consist of words to help the reader visualise your piece.

Last Halloween, I decided to leave my comfort zone and overcome my fear of haunted houses, so I decided to visit the most formidable one in our neighbourhood, Mr. Brown's home. I went to the impenetrable forest expecting the scrappy, shabby cottage. The decrepit house possessed a ginormous garden, with many dead plants surrounding the house.
The house looked abandoned for some time, probably for 100 years. It was the only house found in the dark, lonely, mysterious forest, of no surprise to me. I gulped and walked up to the front door.
The brown, wooden door creaked as I hesitantly opened it. Shivers went through my spine as I walked in. I could not escape the cold, even though I was wearing three layers of sweaters. The flickering lights caused me to rethink my decision, but I continued the tour. As I was trying to see within the dimly lit room, I nearly fell on some shattered glass from the windows on the floor and almost cut myself! At that point, as I was trying to regain my balance, a tall man dressed as a lumberjack came out and chased me upstairs. I almost peed my khaki pants!
As I headed up the stairs of the dark, gloomy house, my footsteps echoed on the stairs. I overheard some mumbling in the room before me; I went into the room hesitantly. The room possessed a ripped red-rose wallpaper with an antiquated master bed. I assumed this was the primary bedroom as it was the biggest in the house. Suddenly, I overheard someone chanting my name! "Ethan, Ethan" they chanted. I immediately sprinted out of that room and started to feel the urge to use the bathroom, so I directed myself to the bathroom. If I thought the bedroom was terrible, the bathroom was considerably worse!
The room had a rust-covered showerhead with a pink horizontal lined curtain, all having a mouldy, raunchy odour. The old, white, rust-covered toilet had a distinctively rancid smell. I opened the lid to discover that faeces were still in the bathroom! No wonder it smelled like that! I decided to hold in my urine until I arrived back home. After such an unpleasant restroom experience, I resumed my tour of the house, patiently waiting for the time this tour would be over. The final room I was guided to explore was the office.
As I entered the gloomy office, I immediately directed my attention to the ripped wallpaper. I saw an old, rust-coloured rocking chair with a light-brown, old-fashioned desk. I could make out a bouquet. The stationery looked quite antiquated. I saw a black & gold fountain pen on top of a wrinkled, discoloured piece of paper, which looked like an unfinished love letter. It read:

"Dear Maria,

I long to see you. Please consider coming back to me. I'm sure you miss us too..."

I paid it no mind while I looked down at the discoloured blue carpet. My skin crawled! Seeing those cockroaches that crawled on it, with me as their next victim! I let out a blood-curdling scream and bolted towards the flickering "Exit" sign. The experience was memorable, and I wish I could tour the house's other rooms. I know I couldn't have handled it and would've probably peed my pants if I had stayed any longer. Lesson learnt: I will never be exploring another haunted house for the rest of my life!
