All I could do all night was to remember our sweet memories together in Boracay. How we cherished and enjoyed one another. I missed her embrace. Her sweet smell. Her curves and edges. I longed for her presence.
"Katherine, accept it. She is your first cousin. Aside from same-sex relationship, incest is not allowed in our country."
This truth shattered my very core. I was speechless. I didn't respond to my best friend and I just slept, wishing for tomorrow's beautiful day. I had no plan. I just wanted to exit this unreasonable culture where I belonged.
