28th October, 2006.

In a hospital, in the depth of the giant city. Nurse Zoe worked her nightshift in the newborn section.
The newborn section had both humans and giant babies in it. And both were precious.
Zoe had been working for 9 hours straight, with one break in-between, and 3 mugs of coffee, and no nap in between. She'd witnessed a lot of joy, and alot of loss in the hospital.
But she made it through.

Walking around the hall of the human section with her coffee mug that has been reheated 4 times and remained unsipped. She stared through the glass of the room for a moment, something catching her attention.
She noticed the baby upfront on the crib had no last name, or even a name.
As if the paper indicating which family she belonged to was ripped for some reason.

"Is something wrong?" A fellow nurse came behind her, not getting what zoe was staring at.

"Uh.. who's.. who's baby is this?" Zoe pointed through the window, staring curiously as the baby stirred in her sleep. The only information written on the card was her sex and the physical appearance. Which was weird, because why and who would do that.

"Huh.. that's odd..." he arched an eyebrow and looked through the list of family names that were in his binder.
But none of it matched the description of any family.
"I'm gonna go to the OB"

Zoe stared at the newborn with a somber expression. She felt bad that someone had purposefully ripped out the basic information. She didn't know who it was, and she didn't have access to the cameras.

She stayed where she was for 30 minutes, she had finished her coffee. But she felt the need to know what was going on. Shortly, the nurse came back with the head OB and head nurse.
And the head nurse had a bunch of files that could possibly belong to the baby.

They spent 20 minutes trying to figure what the case was. And they checked the cameras that showed a nurse entering the nursery room. But strange enough, she was covering her face.

"Literally, not even the foot print match the ones we have in our documents" the head obstetrician said with a confused look on his face. Nothing explained this, they didn't identify who was the person on tape. But there had to be missing documents.

"What does this mean?" Zoe asked nervously, staring at the documents they were re-flipping through.

"If we can't recover documents digitally, we'll have to re-enter the baby's information, and put her in the foster system" He sighed, flipping through all the files of the newborns that were born that day.

2 hours later, and zoe's shift was coming to an end. But she kept up to date with the situation while still working.
But when she was informed that they couldn't recover any of the baby's files and couldn't even find the parents in the hospital, her heart ached for the newborn girl that apparently her parents had abandoned at the hospital.

"Is it possible if I adopt her?" Zoe walked behind the head nurse as she attended to other work.
Zoe was married to a guy named Mark who was a giant. And unfortunately, they couldn't really have children due to obvious reasons. She was desperate to have a child, and she had been married for 6 years with no child, she felt as if she had no choice in life since she and her husband couldn't have children.

"Adopt? You sure zoe? Children a lot to handle... I can say that from experience" the head nurse, Jana said.

"I know, I know. But.. not everyday children get abandoned at hospitals... we don't who she'll end up with" Zoe said with an expecting grin.

"It's not like I can tell you no." Jana said, organising the shelves of the pharmacy. She was looking for anything to do.

2 weeks later, and Zoe had adopted the newborn baby girl. She looked at her in admiration, and so did Mark.
Even though they adopted, they already loved the baby on her own.
Natasha was her name, or they called her Nash for short.

"She's precious.." mark said smiling at the little baby. He and zoe were back and forth on the whole adoption process, but he eventually agreed. And it was the best decision of his life.
He looked at the little tiny baby in his wife's arms.

He'd seen his human colleague's baby once, and he was accustomed to how small they were.
He didn't have mixed feelings at all like he thought he would, he was happy he got to see his little wife happy.

Nash was a human, born into the human section, by human parents.
But Mark wouldn't really be able to help out with her a lot due to the obvious size difference. Most he could do is hold her in his gigantic palm.
But zoe was okay with having to take care of the little one, and Mark opted he'd take care of the house chores since zoe had her hands full with the baby.

"I know. She's so small" zoe laughed as she played with the baby who was babbling and smiling at them.
Considering they weren't the birth parents, baby Nash seemed to have already accepted them.
And didn't seem afraid of mark's humongous size.

"Is it possible for you to take a maternity leave if the child is adopted?" Mark asked curiously.

"I think so" zoe said, going over to mark's hand and sitting at the edge of his palm. Careful not the fall, but she was also not up a crazy distance. Her feet touched the table so it was okay.

"I don't think I can take a paternity leave though. They'd say it's unnecessary since I can't really take care of the baby" Mark looked at his little wife and the baby falling asleep in her arms.

"Maybe we should go baby shopping. Get her the necessary stuff?" Zoe said with a cheeky grin.

"Sure, why not" He smiled at her, petting her with his index. He loved her so much. Ever since he met her He just adored Zoe. Though being small sized was a bit impractical, he still treated her like gemstone to be protected.
He now had a family, and he was glad.
