[ GUTS ]

The group looked out at the streets full of walkers.

"God, it's like Times Square down there." Andrea said.

"Or Black Friday." Camila muttered, then sighing in nostalgia. "God, I used to get so much looting done . . ." she didn't notice Rick shoot her a slight look.

"How's that signal?" Morales asked.

"Like Dixon's brain - weak." T-Dog said, making Camila chuckle.

Merle gave T-Dog the finger. "You could try flipping both of us off . . . but." Camila looked at the handcuffed hand.

"Shut up." Merle replied.

"You're high." She shot back.

"And you're still a junkie."

She was about to reply, opening her mouth and then stopping herself. She looked over at Andrea and saw that the signal still wasn't working. "Keep trying."

"Why? There's nothing they can do. Not a damn thing." Andrea huffed.

"Andrea, please, with the attitude." Camila sighed before Andrea angrily walked away. Some thunder rumbled in the distance.

"Got some people outside the city is all. There's no refugee center. That's a pipe dream." Morales replied.

"Then she's right." Rick said, referring to Andrea. "We're on our own. It's up to us to find a way out."

"Good luck with that." Merle said. "These streets ain't safe in this part of town from what I hear." He turned to Andrea. "Ain't that right, sugar tits? Hey, Honeybunch, what say you get me out of these cuffs; we go off somewhere and bump some uglies? Gonna die anyway."

"Anyone would rather be mauled by walkers. You're dying alone, Merle." Camila said blankly, stopping Andrea from having to deal with it.

"Rug-muncher. I figured as much."

"'The streets ain't safe.' Now there's an understatement." Morales said.

"What about under the streets? The sewers?" Rick asked.

"That's actually pretty smart." Camila said. "Hey, Glenn, check the alley. You see any manhole covers?"

Glenn scanned the alley where a few random walkers waited. "No, must be all out on the street where the geeks are."

"Maybe not. Old buildings like this were built in the twenties. Big structures often had drainage tunneled into the sewers in case of flooding down in the subbasements." Jacqui explained.

"How do you know that?" He asked, genuinely wondering.

"It's my job- was. I worked in the city zoning office."

Down inside the building, Jacqui, Andrea, Morales, Camila, Glenn, and Rick peered down the steep stairwell.

"This is it?" Morales asked. "Are you sure?"

"He really scoped this place out before." Camila gestured to Glenn.

"It's the only thing in the building that goes down. But I've never gone down it. Who'd want to, right?" Glenn asked, they all looked at him. "Oh . . . great."

"We'll be right behind you." Andrea reassured.

"No, you won't. Not you."

"Why not me? Think I can't?"
