Setsuna leaned on the edge of their bed while sitting on the floor. They closed their eyes and took a deep breath. Their usual attire was replaced by a simple white shirt and black pants.
"Aren't you going to lie on the bed?"
They opened their eyes and stared towards the Kuranta, who stared back. "In a moment." They raised their arms to the bed and let it rest. "It's a habit I developed in my... childhood. Something about sitting like this keeps me at ease."
"I see."
There was a moment of silence between the two of them before Nearl initiated once more. "Do you wish to talk?"
"What will our conversation be?" Setsuna inquired soon after. "The only time we've even talked was... well..." She waved her hands. The gesture was relaying what she intended to say.
Nearl grimaced. "Right. Let's fix that. Tell me about yourself."
"...Fine, if only to make this a little less awkward." Setsuna said. "I'm Setsuna and I lived in a secluded village, to say the least." They began. "I had a blind mother and an absent father. Despite... our difficulties, I love them." They looked at the window as their heart began to have a heavy weight. "I took care of my mom, talked with my dad if he was ever home, bonded with each other on every opportunity." They leaned on their bed as their voice began to break and break even more.
It was at this moment that Setsuna realized, this was the moment they could fully process the fucked up situation without worry. Chernobog was a self explanatory disaster, where they were constantly on alert and ready to fight while being on the move and at the arrival of Rhodes Island, they were quickly pulled to a physical examinations test.
"I miss them." Setsuna curled to a ball while tears crowded on their eyes and threatened to fall. "I miss them so much. I miss when I cooked while holding a conversation with my mom, I missed it when my dad was there to guide and teach me, I missed even the little moments, where my mom would hug me and pat me, caressed her hand across my hair, where my dad would kiss my cheek before he left.. I miss them so much and... And..."
They didn't know when Nearl got so close but the Kuranta had kneeled before them and pulled them into a hug. "You can cry. You can let it all out."
Then, Setsuna first sobbed in her shoulder and the next, weeped and cried. Tears crossed their cheeks as they bawled for the first time they were transported to this world. They gripped her clothes while crying, as Nearl stroked her fingers across their white hair before caressing their back.
Nearl continued to hold the crying Fallen Sankta in her arms and gently rested her chin on her head, her horn slightly pushing some hair but ultimately not causing an annoyance.
Setsuna finally processed it all in an appropriate environment, where there was nothing that would snatch their attention.
They were gone from Earth for good.
Their old life was over.
They would never go back from school and go to their mother's waiting and loving embrace.
They would never see their father visit again just to spend time with the family.
They would never cook meals as they talked like a loving family.
Their father would never pass on his wisdom, that they grew to adore.
Their mother would never sing them a lullaby again.
They would never hug their father and mother. Never shower them with or be given affections and love each other, like they always did when the opportunity came.
