They ran to the skating rink as the now zombified Sean chased after them, Jobe skating away with all his might.
He hit a button next to the entrance of the rink, gripping on the wall so he wouldn't fall on his rear and pressed it down when everyone was inside. A metal wall slammed down as he did so, keeping them safely inside the rink, and keeping the fog out. They weren't so safe however with Sean being locked in with them as well. He eagerly chased after them,
"Guys! Run! There's something wrong with Sean, he's trying to attack us!" Nene yelled.
"When did you guys get here what the hell!" Soph yelled.
"It doesn't matter, find something we can hit him with!" Kayla yelled.
Sophia took off her skate and threw it at Sean, hitting him in the face. He was stunned but not for long before he started going after everyone again, Soph now missing a skate took her other skate off and took off on foot. Elijah was at the prize counter and noticed the curtain rod holding a velvet purple and yellow curtain up on the wall. He grabbed it and went up to Sean. He looked into his eyes and knew at that moment, Sean was gone. This was someone else. Before he could impale Sean's torso with the sharp rugged end of the rod, Sean took a bite at his ankle. Elijah then shoved it down on the zombie's back. Sean lay lifelessly on the floor.
Everyone in a state of shock from how fast everything had just went down, they all sat at a table in the dining area of the rink.
"We didn't even say hi and we already killed a zombie, like what is my life?" Jeremiah said.
"That wasn't just a zombie, it was our friend Sean." Elijah said.
"Oh my god that was Sean! What even happened?" Sophia asked.
"He breathed in the fog outside of the skating rink, and turned into that." Jenny said.
"Wait, where's Ava?" Elijah asked.
There was silence for a few seconds, after a few Jobe looked at him sadness in his eyes and shook his head. He started crying, Kayla comforting him.
They all looked sad. Meanwhile Nene came out from the back room with a hazmat suit on.
"Where did you get that?" Elijah asked.
"It was in the back room, apparently they had these prepared for nuclear warfare in all the shops in the mall. Or at least that's what it said on the sign hung up next to it." She replied.
"Well if the other places in the mall have it, we have to go get the other ones for everyone else so we can breathe and get out of here. There's an open portal in that neighborhood next to this place that leads to that purple dimension, if we go through it there's an open portal there that leads back home." Elijah said.
"Okay Nene, well you have to go get the other suits for us." Sophia said.
"I knew you were gonna say that." Nene replied.
"You killed me! You stabbed me 30 times and I went to hell! I was being constantly burned alive for 2 hours straight! So don't ever think that we're 'buddy buddy' because we aren't! You're a stupid piece of shit, and to be honest so are you guys for being friends with her after what she did to me and got away with! I don't know why you would even bring her here! So Nene, go get the fucking hazmat suits before I stab you to death!" Sophia yelled.
"Sophia it was an accident I've tried to reach out to you before! I took a pill that made me think you were a giant slug monster that killed our friends!" Nene yelled back.
"Well why would you take a random pill taped to a wall you idiot!"
"Because! I just wanted something to take away all the pain from us losing all of our friends again in one night!"
Nene cried as she uttered these words,
"Please Soph, I miss you guys so much! You and Jobe are my best friends. I need you guys, I never would have taken that pill if I had known!"
Sophia cried as well, knowing that Nene never would have done that to her if she didn't take that pill. She hugged Nene tight, she hugged her back,
"It's okay, I know you didn't do it on purpose now!" "And there was a lot of pain and loss that night so do get where your coming from, but promise me you won't ever take a random pill in a random place ever again, that's never how you get rid of your problems... okay girl!" Sophia exclaimed.
"I won't I promise! And I'll go get the hazmat suits from around the mall to prove my loyalty to you! I love you!" Nene said.
Jobe went down to hug Nene with Soph, they knew their friendship was a bond that couldn't ever be broken.
Elijah, and Jobe walked up to a vent, they held Nene on their shoulders so she could unscrew and open it with a butter knife they found in the sink. After she opened it Elijah and Jobe pushed her inside, she crawled forward for a while and and looked down through a vent below. She kicked at the vent plate until it broke off, and went into the back room of the store she was in. It was a sports goods store. She went to the back and found a lot more hazmat suits than the one she had just found. 6 to be exact. She noticed that the fog hadn't reached the store she was in yet. After this she took a remote from the back that was used to control the metal wall that goes down after stores close. She left the store and pressed the button that made the metal shudders go down to not let the fog get to the roller rink. She went to a Chick-Fil-A restaurant and went to the back to get the last hazmat suit and then walked back to the sports goods store and opened the shudders up. As she was walking into the store, she heard noise coming from behind her. As she turned around she saw about ten zombies that looked similar to the one they had just seen and killed chasing after her. Her eyes widened as she ran into the store and closed the shudders.
She crawled into the vent and quickly crawled back to the roller rink, throwing the hazmat suits in beforehand.
"You got them all!" Elijah exclaimed.
"Yeah, but there's about ten zombies outside of this area..." Nene said.
"Shit." Jobe said.
Jeremiah picked up the sharp rod they used to kill Sean. Everyone else  picked up a weapon to use on the zombies, and put on a hazmat suit. They cocked their heads to the side as they heard banging on the metal shudder.
"Breathe in the fog..." A raspy voice said.
