Everyone ran back into the mall. The cicada monster chased them as they did so. It clawed and nipped at them, trying to score its first meal in centuries. They went up to the skating rink to see if there was anything left behind for them. There was a see through, glitchy, holographic note floating in the air for them.
"Cacra has a weakness. You must find the dark artifact of cicadas to destroy him. That artifact will need to be cleansed however. You can do this by taking out the corrupted pieces of it and replacing them with new ones. You must make a bargain with evil to get this. Find the maintenance room and go down into the basement of the mall to find what you need."
"Let's go." Kayla said.
"Wait, should we go back to the skating rink to look at the blueprints and find the maintenance room?" Elijah asked.
"Oh yeah we should." Jobe said.
Jenny, Ella, and Soph were distracting the cicada monster, running around the whole mall as the others went to collect the blueprints.
Elijah grabbed them from the back room, Nene, Jobe, Ava standing behind him. He put his finger on the map and dragged it to the room labeled "maintenance room" and they ran downstairs to go check it out.
While the others got chased by the monster they found the room and from there found the basement door.
"Oh shit, it's locked." Jobe said.
On the door was a note, "unlock using keys"
"Do y'all think the wording is weird?" Kayla asked.
"Yeah, like obviously we're gonna use a key to unlock the door." Elijah said.
"Maybe it's a clue." Nene said.
Nene suddenly slipped and fell onto the floor her hand pressing onto a metal pressure activated plate. A golden piano rose up from the ground in front of her. A song started playing as it rose.
"I don't get it, why the fuck did a piano just come out of the floor?" Ava asked.
"Wait guys! What if we have to play the same keys of the song that's playing." Jobe suggested.
"I make music, I can find the right keys." He added.
He went up to the piano and tried to find the correct order and right keys that were in the song being played. After he got it down and they heard a clicking sound from the basement door. They opened it up and went down below the mall.
