Autumn Pov

Lord, I am ready to go home. I said in my head I just finished taking care of the last patient for the evening. It was now 7:45 pm and I left at 8:00 pm but before I left I had to go and check on a special patient of mine. Damar Hamlin has been in the hospital for 3 months now due to having a heart attack on the field, I am so happy to be taken care of. He definitely gave the world a scare so proud that he was able to pull through. When I got into his room I saw Demar sitting up in the bed but he wasn't alone he was with his friend Tyler Boyd who also has been here on occasions visiting him, but a little birdie told me Tyler got a thing for me but I wasn't interested at the moment I am focusing on me. Once I walked in I smiled at Demar and began checking his vitals.

Autumn: " Hey Demar, how are you doing today?"

I began checking his blood pressure and heart rate which were both good.

Demar: " I'm doing good, I didn't see you all day, busy day huh?"

Autumn: " You know it, alright blood pressure looks great and so does your oxygen level, let me do your temperature and you're good."

I did his temperature which came back normal after I did his vitals. I made sure to document everything. I noticed someone staring at me but I didn't acknowledge him.

Demar: " Oh Autumn, you remember my best friend Tyler right?"

I finally looked up at him and I don't know why but when I did my stomach had that crazy butterfly feeling.

Autumn : " Yes, I do actually how are you doing today Tyler"

His eyes never left mine like he was staring into my soul.

Tyler: " I'm doing fine.thank you for taking care of Demar you and your team really saved his life. By the way you look beautiful"

I didn't react to what he said. I just kept writing my notes but boy was I about to become a blushing mess. I needed to leave and leave fast.

Autumn: " Well there is no need to thank me, it is my job to help save lives that's why I became a nurse and thank you. Now Demar, I will be off tomorrow but I will see you on Friday alright do you need anything before I head out?"

Why do I feel like I am being set up when I said that.
Demar: " No I'm good but I think my boy Tyler here wanted to talk with you about something."

Out of the corner of my eye it looked like Tyler wanted to knock Demar out.

Tyler: " You really need to shut up sometimes man"

I chuckled and grabbed the machine walking out of Demar's room. After putting the machine back I grabbed my belongings getting ready to head out until I heard my name being called out

Tyler: "Autumn, Autumn wait up"

I stopped walking

Autumn: " Oh hey Tyler what's up?"

We were both standing face to face by the elevator.

Tyler: " I'm really sorry about back there, Demar can be such a dumb ass sometimes"

Autumn: " So I'm assuming you didn't have anything to ask me then?"

I said, raising my eyebrows, smirking.

Tyler: " No, no hehe... no I actually do. I uh I wanted to know if you liked to go out on a date with me sometime when your free"

Autumn: "Unfortunately I am going to have to decline. I have a lot going on with me right now and honestly I don't have time for dating or even for a relationship for that matter. I'm sorry"
