Azriel never thought he would find someone who loves him. Everyone around him has their own life and family and he feels like he is floating in between with no real purpose.
When Rhys gives him a mission consisting of thirty different tasks, Azriel thinks they are all stupid. Go to the beach. Bake a cake. Feed the ducks. He would rather be on a mission with his blade strapped to his thigh.
Instead, Azriel goes through with the tasks after inlisting the company of one particular individual he met only the night before.
Maybe these tasks will bring Azriel out of the slump he has been in. Maybe these tasks will give him the chance of finding the love he has been searching for after all. Maybe Azriel doesn't need to be alone any longer.
