Taehyung didn't realize for how long he was staring at Jungkook as he talked. Jungkook, Kevin and the other two males were discussing the market. While Taehyung enjoyed the ravenette's lack of attention as he could openly watch him without any care, he didn't like how Jungkook's eyes were on someone else for too long.
The blonde removed his eyes from the ravenette and turned towards the other men. "It was really nice meeting you, gentlemen.'' He spoke grabbing the other's attention. The ravenette also looked at his boss who glanced towards him momentarily before looking at the others. "Please enjoy the party.''
''Thank you, Mr. Kim.'' They thanked the blonde who flashed them a smile before they walked away. Kevin looked at their retreating back before turning towards Jungkook. "They were having a doubt on your abilities, I could see that.''
The ravenette chuckled nodding. "Most people do that. They just see my age and take me as kid.''
''To be honest, I wasn't also very sure when Taehyung hired you.'' Kevin accepted shrugging his shoulders casually. The ravenette watched the other in disbelief. "Really?''
''Yeah.... When Taehyung asked me to offer you the job, I w-''
''Kevy!'' The blonde called interrupting the other. The two males turned towards the blonde who had his sharp eyes on the brunet. ''I think I left my phone somewhere. Can you please get it for me?'' He asked pursing his lips innocently.
Kevin blinked for a moment. "Do you remember where you left it?''
Taehyung shook his head glancing towards Jungkook for a moment. "No Idea.''
''Oh!'' The brunet looked around himself. Thinking for a moment, he took out his own phone from his pocket while Taehyung watched him with stern eyes. He just wanted him gone!
''What are you doing?'' The blonde questioned watching the brunet calling someone.
''Calling you. We'll hear it ringing if it is nearby.'' He replied putting the phone to his ear.
Taehyung shook his head clicking his tongue in distaste. "No use. It's silent.''
''Oh!'' The brunet made a dumbfounded face removing the phone from his ear. Taehyung raised an eyebrow when Kevin watched him for a few moments making the man shake his head. "I'll.... I'll go find it then.''
''Thank you.'' Taehyung nodded making the other smile and walk away still calling. Maybe someone watch the phone ringing and answers it. It will be easier to find the small device in that big hall full of people that way.
The blonde watched the other's retreating back. The smile he had offered to Kevin had long gone. The brunet was getting on Taehyung's nerves. If the blonde hadn't stopped him, he was sure Kevin would have spilled things more than Taehyung's liking.
Blinking, Taehyung supressed the irritation which was building within him. The male composed himself and turned towards Jungkook who smiled hesitantly. Taehyung clenched his hand to control himself but when he couldn't, he raised it up and patted the other's bicep. "Don't mind anyone...'' He began eyeing his hand on the ravenette's arm.
He could feel hard muscles under his touch.
The man pulled away his hand against his will and smiled at Jungkook. "People's judgement towards you is a reflection of their own personalities.''
The ravenette watched his boss for a moment. Taehyung wasn't very nice with words when it came to times like this. He felt a little hesitant but the male hid it behind a smile and nodded in assurance when Jungkook kept looking at him.
''Thank you so much, Mr. Kim.''
Taehyung gave a slight shake of his head. "There is nothing to thank about.'' He dismissed it. There actually was nothing to thank about. Taehyung was doing all of it for himself in the end. An evil smirk threatened to appear on his lips but he didn't let it.
