The next day, Jungkook parked his car in his usual spot. Taking the bag, he walked out closing the door behind him. The man walked towards the entrance. The watchman standing on the door opened it for Jungkook who bowed to him thankfully.
The watchman smiled and bowed down too in response. As soon as the ravenette walked inside, his eyes went to the reception desk where Sophie smiled at him everyday.
She wasn't there today.
Some other girl was sitting there busy on her phone.
Jungkook ignored her and continued walking toward the elevator. It felt so unusual.
Everything was silent. There was not that usual chatter, the smiling faces of other employees, the laugher echoing in the lobby. Jungkook footsteps echoed in the silent building as he walked towards the elevator.
Even the elevator wasn't busy today.
Jungkook smiled shaking his head. Why did he find it so abnormal? Of course, It was holiday today.
The man walked inside and pressed for his floor. The doors opened with a ding and Jungkook walked out. His brown eyes looked around himself.
The floor was dead silent.
Only one light was illuminating the place. Jungkook switched on the lights and walked ahead. It felt so odd to be alone there.
He didn't pay much attention to it any other day but now, when he stood there alone, he remembered how everyone looks at him when he walks onto that floor everyday.
Like Jungkook was an outsider.
He ignored the silence around him and walked towards his office. On his way, he glanced towards Taehyung's office through the glass door to see if his boss was there but he wasn't.
The ravenette checked the time. It was ten thirty already. Shaking his head to shrug his thoughts away, the man walked straight into his office.
Placing his bag on the table, he walked around towards the chair. His hand went to his collar to move the tie in place only to realize he wasn't wearing one.
For some reason, a moment flashed in his mind.
A moment from party on Saturday when Taehyung was dancing with him.
The man blinked away his thoughts and sat down. Picking up a file from the pile on his desk, he got to work.
Half an hour wouldn't have passed when someone knocked on his door. The ravenette looked up from his file and furrowed his eyebrows.
Who could it be?
Before he could comprehend anything, Taehyung walked inside pushing the door with his shoulder holding two coffees in his hands. The blonde beamed at the other brightly.
"Morning Morning!"
Jungkook got up from his seat still puzzled.
"Mr. Kim?"
"Stay seated." Taehyung told the other dismissively and walked over to the other. "Here...'' he extended one of the mug towards Jungkook who took it unsurely.
The blonde smiled at the other nonchalantly and pulled a chair. Sitting down on it, he leaned back and glanced towards the other. It's when he noticed something and a knowing smile appeared on his face.
Taehyung removed his eyes from the other and inhaled the bittersweet smell of coffee with his eyes shining brightly in amusement.
The ravenette wasn't wearing a tie.
