Adrien opened his eyes, squinting as he felt the sun rays falling on his face. Then as if a dam had broken, all the memories of last night came flooding back.
It was over. He couldn't change anything now. If only he could turn back time. But he couldn't, it wasn't as though he had the Rabbit Miraculous with him, and he wasn't going to use it for selfish purposes.
He turned in bed to look at the figure sleeping next to him. If only Ladybug hadn't left him, none of this would've happened. He felt guilty and sorry for the girl. He didn't think that he could ever love her as much as he loved Ladybug.
This girl was Evangeline Kent Agreste.
Yes, she was his wife and now married to him. He, who had no feelings for her whatsoever but was actually head over heels for another girl.
Did she deserve this? No. But can you really control what your heart feels? You can't,no matter how much you try, you can't. After Ladybug ghosted him, Adrien tried so hard to get over her. But the more he tried to forget about her, the more he realised that he couldn't stop thinking about her.
Evangeline stirred in her sleep, and slowly opened her eyes to look at him, but before she could say anything, Adrien got out of bed and locked himself in the bathroom.
