I was 10 when I wrote this. It was for Black History Month.
Harriet Tubman
When born into slavery, you need some bravery .
Born in Maryland, were slavery was banned.
She was treated like property, she lived in poverty.
At age twelve, into work she delved.
While working in the field, her job was put yield, something hit her head, some thought she was dead.
She used the Underground Railroad, she was given a code, to remove a heavy load.
When she was freed, she did a good deed
Three hundred lives set free, which her old master did not like to see.
She did what was right, and all out of sight.
