Donald and [Your Name] continued to hang out during lunch. They eventually even started hanging out after school. They often read books together in the public library. [Your Name] would treat Donald's wounds whenever Seungjae and his gang beat him up.
"I should go and teach those bullies a lesson!" [Your Name] said.
"Do you even know how to fight?" Donald asked.
"Uh..." [Your Name] plopped back down onto the swing. "I could learn. There are places that offer martial arts lessons. Hey Donald, why don't you ever fight back?"
"I don't want to cause any problems," Donald told her. "My mom's already dealing with enough with her health. She doesn't need more stress,"
"It's not fair that the teachers are letting them get away with bullying you!" [Your Name] sighed. "They look down on you for being poor! It's a person's actions that define them, not their economical status!"
"Unfortunately, that's just how the world is," Donald said. "The world is unfair and cruel," He smiled at [Your Name]. "At least you're one of the nice people in my life,"
"Of course," [Your Name] smiled back. "We're friends and friends look out for each other,"
"[Your Name]...do you want to meet my mom?" Donald asked.
"Are you sure?" [Your Name] questioned. "You mentioned that since you need to take the bus, you already spend little time with her. I don't want to take up any of that precious time,"
"It's fine," Donald said. "I want Mom to know that I'm not alone at school and that I have a great friend,"
"Hmm," [Your Name] thought deeply about the idea. "How about we get my dad to drop us off at the hospital?"
"Won't he be busy with work?" Donald was also hesitant to meet with other adults. The only adult he could trust was his mother.
"We can schedule ahead so that he won't have any appointments that day," [Your Name] suggested. "That's how I set up times when I want to hang out with him,"
"Are you sure?" Donald hesitated.
"He won't look down on you like the other adults do," [Your Name] told him. "Remember, he was the one who raised me. I got my morals from him,"

The day they had chosen eventually came. Donald sat awkwardly in the back seat next to [Your Name]. [Your Name]'s father was a quiet man who had simply greeted Donald and then didn't say anything else. The ride to the hospital was quick.
Donald led [Your Name] to his mother's hospital room. "Mom?" Donald called as they entered the room.
"Hi sweetie," Sua greeted.
Donald hugged her tightly. "Mom, I want you to meet my friend from school,"
"Hi," [Your Name] waved at Sua. "My name's [Your Name] [Last Name]. I'm from Class Two,"
"Hello [Your Name]," Sua smiled. "Thank you for being friends with my son,"
"You don't have to thank me," [Your Name] grinned. "Donald's a great friend. He listens to all of my rambling and we read lots of books together,"
"I'm glad," Sua said. "I'm glad my son isn't alone. I'm glad he has a friend,"
Donald shared stories with his mother and [Your Name] quickly noticed that he was hiding anything negative about school from her. She didn't want to expose his lies and went along with it. She listened as Sua also shared some stories from when Donald was younger.
