Chapter 20 - Legacy of Destinies part 2

In the Void dimension, the fight had just taken a different turn with the unexpected arrival of the spirit of King Ghidorah. The three-headed dragon, escaped from hell, now attacked the demon Chernabog, refusing to see him take the power he considered his own. Around the two giant entities, the storm was getting stronger, the winds increasing in violence, yellow lightning exploding everywhere and swirls of water starting to rise everywhere. Chernabog spat torrents of hellfire from his jaw and hands which collided with Ghidorah's lightning rays in an apocalyptic explosion. Both moved back because of the shock wave, but the two entities continued to face each other.

_"I should have anticipated that you would cause me problems, damn dragon!" roared Chernabog. "I will devour your spirit, as I did with Hades, and your power will be mine!"

Ghidorah's spirit roared in fury, but Chernabog smiled cruelly and used his demonic power to once again summon a legion of his shadow demons which he immediately sent to attack the dragon, who then found himself besieged on all sides and having to defend himself by spitting lightning everywhere against an armada of demons who kept appearing endlessly from multiple infernal pentagrams.

_"I'll take care of you later, Ghidorah." growled Chernabog, who then turned his attention to his priority target. "I wouldn't want to keep my special guest waiting."

Jia couldn't hold back her fear as she saw the demon look her straight in the eyes and move confidently towards her. Anna and Moana, both ready, stood together and stood before Jia to protect her. Chernabog then regained human size while walking, then emitted a sadistic and self-confident laugh when he saw the two fairies facing him.

_"This child will never belong to you!" Moana proclaimed forcefully.

_"Really? Don't you see that all of it is futile?" he told them condescendingly. "I have defeated countless deities over the centuries. I have devoured the god of death and the god of the underworld. What chance do you think you have against me, seriously ?!Hand over this child to me without discussion, it will save you from unnecessary suffering."

_"Your words have no value for us, demon." Anna retorted firmly, holding her flame sword in hand. "You have broken your pact with the gods, the very fabric of the existence is in peril because of your actions. Do not expect any surrender from us."

Moana said nothing but her gaze showed the same resolve as Anna. The daughter of Motunui then summoned a spear and a tribal shield in her hands for confrontation and signaled Jia to step back. Chernabog smiled with all his yellow, carnivorous teeth, as if expecting and hoping for such a response from them. From the very black flesh of his arms emerged two veined blades which he ignited with his vile magic.

_"Hmm... I still have a little time to have fun." commented the demon. "And to feast on a few more souls!"

Chernabog then rushed at superhuman speed but Anna and Moana had time to react in unison and together put a barrier. The sword and spear collided with the demon's black blades in a violent clash. Standing back, Jia was scared, not knowing what to do. Surrounded by all this chaos, these negative energies which poisoned the air, seeing all these super-powerful beings in full confrontation... She felt so small, so fragile, so incapable... I am only a mortal, what can -I do? She kept telling herself this while falling to her knees and holding her head in tears, internally begging for everything to stop.

Anna jumped back, summoning a giant flame phoenix which she threw at Chernabog. At the same time, Moana firmly placed her hands on the ground to unleash a violent and powerful wave. But the demon showed no concern at these attacks and swept them away effortlessly with a wave of infernal energy that he let explode from his body.

_"The old harpy has trained you well, my little fairies." Chernabog sadistically mocked, daring to insult the Fairy Godmother. "Finally, everything has come together, here and now, to put an end to this ridiculous story. I have waited an infinity of lives to arrive at this moment, and it is not you who will prevent me from obtaining my reward! This time, those idiots of Te Fiti and Lucanger are no longer there to stop me! All of you here will witness the birth of a new empire!"
