Chapter 17 - All Monsters War part 1

At the Castle Bravo outpost, the battle continued between the forces of Monarch and Hydra, the latter supported by endless swarms of Gyaos sent and controlled by Destoroyah. But the arrival of the protective titan Gamera had reversed the course of the fight and restored a reinforcement of weight to the forces of Monarch. The two Jaegers, Crimson Typhoon and Cherno Alpha, although very damaged by the attacks of the Gyaos, had managed to get up and resume the fight alongside the titan. Breathing in the flames and smoke from the fires caused by the explosions, Gamera would then use it to spew mighty torrents of fiery flame into the air, charring dozens of Gyaos and causing discord within their ranks.

On one of the outpost's main landing pads, the now reunited Incredibles family had resumed the fight against the high-tech cybernetic armor inhabited by Syndrome's spirit. Dash was using his speed to land small but annoying blows all around the armor, more to confuse him than to do any real damage. At the same time, Violet created force fields which she projected at the cyborg, supported by Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible who hurled debris at their enemy. Hit from all sides by these blows and these rains of projectiles in all directions, Syndrome's sensors were crazy, preventing him from being able to concentrate on a precise target and forcing him to curl up and protect himself with the plates that made up his artificial body.

_"ENOUGH!" yelled Syndrome.

He pounded the ground with his two metal fists bursting with energy, so powerful that the shock wave caused swept the area and knocked all the superheroes to the ground.

Meanwhile, the Big Hero 6 shuttle was coming on fast approach to the outpost. Hiro had engaged the autopilot, the ship now moving alone and the AI being programmed to avoid enemy aircraft fire. Equipped with his high-tech armor, Hiro joined the rest of his group at the back, in the hold. All were decked out, their backs fitted with jetpacks that Hiro had developed for fast air travel.

_"We are all ready to go Hiro. At your signal." Honey Lemon said.

_"Guys, we'll have to be even more careful than usual." Hiro intervened, less optimistic. "It's Hydra that we have in front of us. We have never had to face such a dangerous organization."

_"Do you want to know our chances of success?" asked Baymax who was ready to do the calculation of the percentage chance.

_"No thank you, Baymax." Wasabi interjected. "But Hiro isn't wrong. We're playing in the big leagues now, do you think we're ready?"

_"If we survived a douchebag like Walter Simmons, I say, we are invincible." said Go Go, sure of herself despite the situation.

_"Not to mention the titans in San Fransokyo." Fred added. "Guys, remember... When Godzilla and Elsa faced off against Biollante, do you remember all the people we saved? The big leagues, we've been at it for a while now and that's what a true hero is : knowing how to evolve in the choice of his fights to become even better. So here's what I say: Hydra or not, we're going to kick some bad guys' asses and help our friends save the world, all together!"

Even if Fred wasn't the smartest in terms of intelligence, he was surely the one with the most conviction in the group. Everyone else smiled at his speech and nodded.

_"Let's go save the world. Let's make Tadashi proud of us." added Honey Lemon with determination.

Hiro smiled at the mention of his late big brother and agreed with his friends. Knowing this was his chance, he then decided to unveil his newest secret weapon he was keeping for a situation like this should it ever arise. Opening his metal glove, he tapped on an integrated holographic keyboard and entered a series of highly complex cipher codes.
