Chapter 5: the dream

I sit up looking around I'm in my old room in New York. I smile and look around that's when the door open and ali walked in. I get up out of the bed and run and hug her.

She says, "damn did you miss me that much." I smile and hug her again. I say, "wait how is this possible?" Ali's smile fades she looks at me and says, "aspen there were complications during the surgery to get the bullet out." I look at her shocked and say, "I'm dead?" Ali's grabs my hand and says, "not yet you're in the in between not dead or alive." I look at her and start crying i grab her hands and say, "I'm sorry it's my fault you died if I wouldn't have killed his father he wouldn't have taken it out on you." Allison says, "no that wasn't your fault it was Diego's, please tell Clarisse I love and miss her and to not hate her self over that."

I look at Allison again and say, "Clarisse has been missing for a year after you died she went off the grid." Allison says, "find her for me Aspen keep her safe." I look at Allison as I hear screaming it sounds like the boys. She looks at me and says, "they're calling you have to go back." I look at her and say, "I don't want to leave you not yet." She hugs me and says, "listen to me you have to, kid you still have a life and I want you to protect the boys please Aspen live for me do what I couldn't."
I look behind me and see a white light and that was it.

Hades pov:

I hold Aspen tight as blaze drives to the hospital. Lorenzo had called Roman and told him we were coming. I look down at Aspen and hold her tight. I look at her and say, "damit kid you can't die on me you promised."
Lorenzo taps my shoulder and looks at me
And says, " check her pulse."
I put two fingers on her wrist and I look at Lorenzo and say, "it's faint but it's there." Blaze pulls up to the hospital. I grab Athena and run into the hospital they put her on a stretcher. A doctor puts an iv in and suddenly the machine starts beeping. Blaze looks at me and grabs me and says, "don't you dare." He holds me while Lorenzo looks at Aspen trying not to cry.
Roman starts compressions after 10 minutes they get her heart beat back and take her to surgery.
She was bleeding out in front of me and it's my fault.

Aspens pov:
I open my eyes giving them a second to adjust to the light. I look around the room and see hades in a chair beside me holding my hand. He realizes I'm awake and he hugs me I hug him then he says, "I'm sorry." I smile at him and say, "it's okay." Lorenzo and blaze come in I smile at them. That's when Roman came in and said, "how are you feeling Aspen?" I smile and say, "I've been better but I'm okay." Roman then says, "I want you to stay off your feet for a few days and make sure to drink plenty of water not everyone comes back from the dead." (I forgot Roman went to med school)

Hades says, "your staying with the Torres we called Charisse and made sure she cleared it with them, she said it was okay."

A few days later:
Ive been at the Torres house for a few days now I walk down to get some water from the kitchen. Lorenzo has been avoiding me since i got shot. I turn around the hallway and walk right into Lorenzo.

He looks at me and says, "hello princess." I look at him and say, "that's the first word you can say to me after not talking to me for almost a week?" Lorenzo looks at me and says, "it's my fault." He says as he walks closer to me I back into the wall.  I take a deep breath and he says, "you got shot because I was a second too late." He looks down at the floor. I grab his chin so he looks up at me I say, "it's not your fault you can't put that on yourself Lorenzo." He sighs and smiles he puts his four head on me and walks away. Leaving me speechless.
