When todays alarm went off, Hinata was awake, like he was all night. He couldn't sleep due to a certain boy occupying his mind.
'that stupid dickwad, being the reason why i cant sleep. Oh well'
And Hinata got ready for school, sluggishly, again, still being hungry.
little did he know, he wasn't the only one that was up all night. (Pun NOT intended💀🙏)
Again, he was late as expected to practice, but someone else happened to be late as well.
As Hinata was walking to the gym, dragging his feet, he heard someone trailing behind him
"WHOS THERE? Kageyama??" Hinata cut himself off as he felt his extended arm hit the taller boy
"YOU IDIOT YOU HIT MY NOSE"
"IM SO SORRY- wait, why are you late? You're never late?"
"I- um- homework! Yup homework totally.. yeah" Kageyama said reluctantly, leaving Hinata in shock.
'Kageyama does homework? I didnt think he would ever touch a pencil and paper outside of school?' Hinata thought while having a puzzled expression
"Um, okay! Let's head to practice!" Hinata said, trying to get rid of the awkardness. They didn't race today, for they were way too tired. How were they gonna get through practice?
After being scolded (again for some), practice went on as if nothing. Until one comment caught the two off guard. Normally when Tsukishima comments on anything, the two have learned to ignore it. But this was something new.
"Ew did you two stay up late last night being all lovey dovey last night? Or did hinata do all the work while the king sat there and looked pretty?" The ugly beanpole said, laughing at his own joke, causing yamaguchi, nishinoya, and tanaka to burst out laughing, almost crying.
"OH MY GOSH, THEY TOTALLY DO ACT LIKE A COUPLE! ALWAYS QUARRELING, " Tanaka remarked
"Since when did you use big words like that?" Sugawara said with a smirk, while tanaka frowned, mumbling to himself in defeat.
While the teamates talked, the two boys were paused in place, with skin 50 shades redder than usual. Though they were scolded to help clean up the gym, since it was almost time for school.
Hinata was so lost in thought while putting the balls away, before looking at Kageyama, to see that Kageyama was already looking at him.
This caused the two to avert eye contact immediately and focus on everything but eachother.
'why was he staring at me??" The ginger boy thought. And countless other thoughts filled his mind.
'i wonder whats on his mind?'
And then as the short boy was finishing up he remembered something he needed to do.
'i have to talk to sugawara!'
*flashback*
"So sugawara-senpai, why are you leaving for so long?" Hinata asked while everyone was packing up in the clubhouse. Sugawara announced not to long ago that he would not be in school for the week.
"oh im going to America to attend my sisters wedding," sugawara replied with a smile.
"Oh really? I've seen your sister she looks so pretty! Who's the lucky guy?" Nishinoya chimed in wholeheartedly, not meaning to be creepy
"The 'lucky guy' so happens to be a girl, actually. Her names Kurapika and shes very nice." Sugawara said, causing Nishinoya and Tanaka to be dumbfounded, for they've only thought about straight relationships their whole lives. Dumbasses.
