The Siren and the Demon

Chapter 7

Sam had a million thoughts running through his head as he ran after Luca.But then,he tripped and fell in the sand.He couldn't see Luca,so instead of running after him,he tried to think.He ran the events through his head.They were laughing,then he looked over and saw Luca had a shimmering green tail.he sighed,looked around and then let his wings slowly appear into vision.He hid the rest,but then took flight.He looked around from the point,but failed to find his blond friend.Then,down at the far side of the beach,he saw Luca sitting down,seeming sad at a picnic table far away from the restaurant .Sam then made a quick landing,and then quickly hid his wings.he slowly approached luca,and as he walked forward,he felt a small suppressed feeling of fear and (nervousness???is that a word)as he got closer and closer.He then put a hand on Lucas shoulder."Hey you ok?"
"FU- oh it's you.Sorry"Luca said,slightly embarrassed.He was about to get up again,when Sam said,"Wait!"
"What"Luca said sadly.As he said this,so many thoughts ran through his head.The worst one surfacing,was that Sam thought he was a monster.As if Sam could read emotions,he said in a comforting tone "Your not a monster Luca"
"I am though.Im sorry I didn't tell you."
"Hey you don't have to explain yourself,and to be honest,I haven't been entirely truthful either."
As Luca looked at him,confused Sam stood up and took a deep breath."Please don't hate me"
"Why would I-?"Luca began to ask,before stopping in surprise at the new sight in front of him.Sam still stood there,but now looked much different.He had small horns poking out of his black hair,and had magnificent wings with elegant sharp feathers.He looked well,beautiful."I understand if you want to move,and I can help-"Sam tried to explain,but before he could finish,Luca jumped up and hugged him.A little surprised,Sam hugged Luca back.For once,he didn't feel like a stranger.He felt like he was home.

As Luca passionately hugged Sam,he was surprised to find that Sam was hugging him back.As he kept hugging Sam,he felt a surge of happiness,knowing for once,someone accepted him,someone actually cared,and,that someone was actually like him and didn't hate him.For once, he had a good friend.
