The Siren and the Demon

Chapter 8

Sam quickly retracted his wings after letting go of the hug."So I'm guessing that's a no?"
Luca was confused,but then remembered how in his stuttering sentence,Sam had asked if he had wanted to move."I mean as long as your ok with it"
"Ok"
"Umm so this is akward how do we get home?I think the car was towed."
"Don't worry,I grabbed it literally just as they got the truck out"At this comment,Luca laughed a bit."Ready to go?"
"Yep"

For context:Luca picked up a job as a waiter at a fancy restaurant,and refused to take the bed,and is now sleeping on the pull-out couch.(they have been living together for a year and a half now)

"Hey Luca?"Sam asked as he unbuttoned his tie."Yeah?"
"I got a surprise for you"
"Really?You didn't have to"
Sam brought Luca into the bedroom."I don't think that the pullout couch fits you very well,so..."As Luca opened his eyes,he realized that Sam's bed had been moved to the side of the room,and on the other side,there was a black frame,with enchanting blue and green blankets,Drapes that were tied to the side,just like Sam's,and there were what looked to be th comfiest pillows ever.Lucas mouth dropped open when he saw a little squish mellow ,in the shape of a narwhal on top of the first pillow.
"Th-thank you!"He said to Sam,so happy that he ran over and squeezed him tightly in a big warm hug.Sam blushed at the affectionate gesture,but then hugged him back and said "Yeah of course,what did you think of do let you stay on the mattress?Sorry it was so late,I had to find the right wood an-"
"You built it to?"
"Um yeah."
"Do you know how awesome that is?"
Sam smiled at the compliment."It's getting a little late,we should probably head to bed." "Yeah,but thank you so much!!"Luca exclaimed as he gave one more short hug,and then bolted into his new bed.After releasing the drapes,Luca poked his head out of them and said "Thank you Sam"With genuine happiness that Luca liked it so much,he smiled  and thought that even though Luca acted like a idiot sometimes,he was sweet overall.And with that,he hopped into bed,closed his drapes,and fell asleep peacefully.
