FROM THE DAY SHE WAS BORN, SHIZUKU was cursed. After losing her mother during childbirth and failing to become the next heir to her father's prospering bow-making business, she was said to bring nothing but misfortune and misery. She was kept hidden from Kohama village, locked inside of her home until she was old enough for her father to sell.
Biding her time, Shizuku would sneak out into the village for a taste of humanity, searching for treasures and excitement. She found it one fateful night, when a masked boy fell before her feet, a crowd of village children on his trail. Stepping out into the night for the first time, she would gain her very first friend.
The two would come to plan a treacherous journey that would grant one freedom, and the other revenge. Shizuku waited patiently, all the while honing her skills with a bow and arrow. Come her seventeenth birthday, the time would come for her to embark on a path filled with grief, death, and love.
