Arsalan POV:

A while earlier.

"But how dare he do that! If he didn't wanted to marry, he could have said so!" I shout angrily. I knew at first glance that something was wrong. Aasim running away from home with a girl seems like an excuse. Because no person with that face and sense can ever dare to run from home and on top of that with a girl. The way Aasim's mother was asking Airah that day that whether she could clean the house and cook and when Airah said that she's not too good at it. Her face expression somehow changed.  And on top of that Airah loves him. They were here to just ruin the respect of the family.

"Ab kya karege? Agar sab mehmano (guests) ko bata to nahi sakte na?" Chachu asks.
(Arsalan, marry Airah in Aasim's place.)

"Arsalan tum Airah se nikah karlo Aasim ki jagah par." (Arsalan, marry Airah in Aasim's place.) My father says.  I look up at him in shock. How can I baba? She loves him. Not me.

"Waise bhi nikah to hum tumhara Airah se hi karwane wale the but Aasim ka rishta aagaya tha aur Airah ko wo acha laga tha isliye hum ne tumhari shaadi usse nahi karayi." Father says. (Anyway, we were going to arrange your marriage with Airah, but Aasim’s proposal came, and Airah liked him, so we didn't proceed with your marriage to her.)

"Karlo beta ye meri bethi ki izzat ka sawal hai. Pure khandan ki izzat ka sawal hai." (Please do it, son. It's a matter of my daughter’s honor. It's a matter of the family's honor.) This time its Imran uncle.

"As a heir, sometimes, you should think about your family's respect more than your happiness." Waseem chachu says.

The only thing I hate besides sharing is seeing a women loose her respect and get insulted. Just thinking about how Airah will lose her respect because of some asshole pissess me off. I dont think for a second before I say "Thike. Kar leta hoon." (Alright. I'll do it.)

Imran uncle hugs me and says, "Mujhe pata nahi ke me kaise tumhare shukriya ada karu but still bahut shukriya beta." (I don't know how to thank you, but still, thank you very much, son.)

Someone taps me on the shoulder I turn to see Yasir, Tariq and Ziya standing behind me. When did they came here? "This is the best decision you have ever made in your life." Yasir says as he hugs me.

"Ziya mein 5 lakh dollars bet kar raha hu." (Ziya, I'm betting 500,000 dollars.) Tariq says.

"For what?" Me, Yasir, Ziya ask at the same time. "I will distribute it among you two...." Tariq says pointing his finger back and forth at Ziya and Yasir  ".... if he," he looks at me "....falls in love with Airah." He ends. "Bet!!" Both say at the same time.

"Aisa kuch nahi ho ga. Uss ladki se mohabbat?..." (Nothing like that will happen. Falling in love with that girl?...) I say pointing at Airah who is sitting on the stage, all laughing and chuckling with the other three girls. "....Impossible." I say chuckling.

"Good I'm getting enemies to lovers vibe from them." Ziya says smiling. I end up laughing.

"Dollars mein 5 lakh ya phir Indian rupees mein?" Yasir asks.
(

500,000 in dollars or in Indian rupees?)

"Dollars mein." Tariq replies.
(

In dollars.)

Present

"Kya aapko ye nikah qubool hai?"
(Do you accept this marriage?)

"Qubool hai." She says. (I accept.)

The words barely passing her lips. She was devastated when we told her about the condition. She didn't cry but I know she's completely broken from inside. Love really is cruel. Her hands shake when she signs the paper.

The nikah is done. Ziya comes up and hugs me, "Brother cheer her up a bit later. She's broken from inside." He says. Its first time I have ever seen Ziya this much worried about someone. "And please don't argue or pick fight with her. Not today." Yasir says.

"I know that much idiot It's just that how do I cheer her up?" I ask. "Brother see we all are single over here. So we don't have any experience of how to cheer up a girl." Tariq says.

"Yasir might know. You have a sister." Ziya says.

"Wait wait bro- First of all talbiya doesn't get upset very quickly. And if she does, she's back to normal after watching some Instagram reels. And that's why I never have to do anything to lighten up her mood. I don't know if this might be the same solution for every girl." Yasir says.

"What a cruel brother." Tariq says under his breath. "Anyway you have Google. Search on it. It knows everything." He says.

Oh yess!! Google why I didn't think of it sooner?
