Airah POV:

One month later

The preparation for wedding has been on blast since this morning and so my health. Well I rather not talk about that, I still haven't told Arsalan about it. I'll maybe tell him after today cuz I don't want to ruin everyone's happy mood. Because c'mon today's Hiba and Ziya's wedding.

"Which one do you think matches?" I ask Arsalan, showing him a sage green and an olive green coloured hijab, because I'm unable to choose which one I should wear today. God, I should have done all this yesterday only. He looks away from the phone and inspects both the colours. He's been out since 11 in the morning and just came back home now at 7 o'clock. "They're both same, my love." He says picking up the olive green one. "No they're not,"

"Yes they are." He looks at me and smiles. "They're both so different Ahmed." I explain him the difference between both the colours and he just nods like a goat. "Are you gonna say or not?" I all but scream at the end. "See you didn't even told me your dress colour Airah, how am I supposed to decide then?" He looks up at me confused. Well i didnt cuz I wanted it to be surprise for him. "Well......it's very light green coloured with uhh golden work on it." I explain. "that's a lot of information Airah." He mocks. I roll my eyes and define him the dress more. Since my belly has grown I can't wear heavy dresses therefore I decided to go with something simple. "Now, choose one." " Yeah yeah wait, lemme decide real quick."He returns back to inspecting both the hijab and finally after an eternity hands me the olive green one. "Nah, I'm taking this," I swat his hand away and pick up the sage green one and go to the bathroom. "Why did you ask me then if you were going what you wanted in the end?!" He shouts from behind and I bite the inside of my cheek as I exit the bathroom and face him. "Well I must say, your choice is very bad, Ahmed." I poke his chest and go back to the bathroom.

After wearing the dress, I carefully open the door just a crack to see if Arsalan is still in the room. He stands near the table beside the door, his back to me, engrossed in his collection of luxury watches. Each watch gleams under the soft light, "Ahmed, can you leave the room if you're ready? I don't want you to see the dress," I call out, trying to keep my voice steady.

He turns around, and for a moment, I forget to breathe. He looks devilishly handsome in his black thobe, the dark fabric fitting him perfectly, highlighting the sharp lines of his broad shoulders. His hair, usually styled to perfection, falls messily across his forehead, giving him a slightly rugged look that makes my heart skip a beat. "Please?" I add, and with an eye roll, he exits, closing the door behind him.

With him gone I quickly start getting ready, taking about half an hour, though most of it was spent struggling with eyeliner. I don't usually wear much makeup, so this was a rare effort. When I'm done, I take a final look in the mirror and step out. The living room is buzzing with chatter, and the whole house is draped in lights and flowers. We decided to host the function at home with fewer guests, keeping it cozy.

I scan the room and spot Talbiya sitting on the couch, laughing with one of our cousins. When she sees me, her eyes light up, and she rushes over, her pastel pink lehenga with some white work flowing behind her. "You look beautiful!" she exclaims, wrapping me in a tight hug. Hugging her back I smile, "You too, Talbiya,"

Just as we pull away, one of her friends comes and steals her away. I sigh softly, and step onto the porch, taking in the warm, festive atmosphere around me, when the voice reaches me, "Airah...?"

Arsalan POV:

"Airah...?" I whisper softly, almost as if I might break the moment. She stands there in her sage green dress, looking absolutely stunning. The dress flows around her, with golden embroidery catching the light beautifully. Her hijab frames her face perfectly, making her look even more delicate and graceful.
