As usual, the moonlight bestowed blessings upon the woodland and bid the plants farewell for the night. Sucras remained still, with only the soft sound of raindrops falling from trees onto leaves that had fallen or crystal-clear lakes. Animal sounds, such as chirps and faint calls, could be heard to accompany the drips.

Though, the calls within Sucras were like none other. Chirps would be infused with purrs to create an interesting call, the pitches could range from low to high, some calls were short and repetitive, others were long and gentle.

However, Sucras calls were unlike any other. To make an intriguing call, chirps would be combined with purrs; pitches may vary from low to high; some calls would be brief and repetitive, while others would be soothing and extended. Some claim that you may infer a creature's nature solely from the sound it makes. The extended calls were of staggering grazing deer, whereas the short noises would be for species like birds or rabbits.

Quiet hisses are considered a bad omen and are the sole sound that Sucrasians find repulsive.

A small growl would resound across the air, and a big figure would stagger among the tall, bladed grass. Stepping down into the soil, two enormous hands and feet moved towards a light inside the large trees that had bluish-like leaves. The creature's teeth glittered in the darkness.

Behind them followed a somewhat smaller replica of the same species, heading towards the light. Surrounded by identical houses, the light belonged to a man-made home above. If there were any doors at all, they would be horribly tall to match the walls.

A pair of Sucrasians. With emerald eyes and a dark grey hue, the bigger of the two has some scars on it. Despite having blue marks on his legs and wrists, the smaller individual had lighter grey eyes and light grey skin rather than dark. They were related. Their bodies seem to be in good health and have been well-fed.

The larger Sucrasian, known as Gino, was the leader of the Sucrasian-possessed tribe. He had been in power for a long time and had no intention of stepping down anytime soon.
The smaller Sucrasian, known by his given name Silas, was the Chief's first son and might eventually be the next in line to lead the tribe. The idea of carrying on his father's name was something he had never liked. He thrived for a bigger, more exciting life full of travel and adventure but never got around to making that happen.

A human woman was seated inside the illuminated house. Her arms held a bundle of crocheted blankets, her body leaning against the wall, her eyes wide with astonishment but also with tiredness and a soft grin.

Her gaze moved up once she heard the sound of the two Sucrasians returning home, watching them both shapeshift into their human forms.

Gino had the same scars and green eyes. He wore traditional clothes, such as a robe with the Sucras sign on his back, and was pale with grey hair. In contrast, Silas had blonde hair with a solitary blue line on the left side. His eyes were the same colour, but his still-developing fangs gave him a tiny overbite. They were close to finishing. The two males had decently muscular physiques due to everything Sucrasians had to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"Sadie, my love?" A thick accent coming from Gino as he spoke out to the woman. Sadie could only smile before whispering over, "Oh...Gino...he's perfect."

Gino let himself smile as he shifted closer, it was like nothing he ever had seen before, interest in his eyes to what he was looking at.

Silas would let his head tilt, curious but he stood his ground until Sadie would move her head in a gesture. Motioning him to come close...he understood his father's expression instantly.

What sat within those blankets was a small human...but, they owned two little elf like ears, a small tail with a tuft of ombré blue at the end of it and a body littered in blue markings.

He couldn't tell if this little person was a human or a Sucrasian, he didn't think his father could either from the look on his face.

"Sadie, my love, he is...definitely something..." Gino sat down beside his wife, looking at the boy settled in her arms. A content sigh from the mother, "I've already thought of a name for him."

Gino's ear twitched, looking to her, "You have?"

Silas couldn't take his eyes off of the child, soon carefully putting his hand close. The baby's green eyes looked to it before using his hand to grasp the Sucrasian's finger.

Sadie nodded, watching as glee lit up in Silas' eyes. That instinct kicking in. He must protect this little person with his life, this was a blessing from nature itself.

"I want to call him...Orin."

"Orin...what brought that name to you, my love?"

She simply chuckled, "Mother knows best..."

Silas started to purr, gently moving his finger to play with Orin a bit. Remaining gentle. Orin was his little brother, he wouldn't let anything happen to him, just like that...the boy didn't even have to do anything to gain trust nor appreciation. His existence made him protective, Silas knew what he had to do.

Be a big brother.
