I got me and Blake ready for the day and me Blake and jj got in the Twinkie I wanted go see Lana Grubbs to see why scooter had my dads compass

Blake sat on jjs lap as he played with her while speaking to me about kie knowing Blake was completely cluseless about what he was saying

"I'm just saying I do my know why you don't atleast try with Kiara she clearly likes you" jj raved "she's like oh John b!"

"Is that what she does?" I asked getting annoyed

"She's sketching about you diving then she kissed you" jj said making weird faces to Blake

"She kissed me on the cheek" I corrected "it's not like we was making out"

"Low hanging fruit bro" jj said "don't pretend you don't notice I see it in your eyes your like "I kinda like that" and you start blushing and shit"

"I blush?" I asked

"Yeah"

"Really?" I pressed

"Yeah" jj said as he spotted my dads compass and grabbed it

I went to grab it but jj wouldn't let go I finally gave in cause I didn't wanna accidentally hit Blake

"I'm just looking at it" he said as Blake started messing with the chain after jj got it "I gotta admit your fathers compass in scooters boat that's freaky"

"Yeah that's why we're going to talk to miss Lana" I replied "figure this whole thing out"

Jj let Blake play around with the compass "I'm sure she would just love to talk to us it ain't like her husband just drowned or anything"

He had a good point but we had to try

Blake held the compass out to me bacically saying take it I took it from her she gave me a smile before laying on jjs chest falling asleep for the rest of the drive

I pulled into Lana's yard Blake had woke up early usually she's asleep for 30 mins but she woke up only 5 mins after she fell asleep so we had to take her into Lana grubs house

We got out of the Twinkie and started walking out up I took Blake from jj

"You know what this house looks like?" I asked

"Whoever lives here smokes too much weed?" Jj questioned

We walked closer to the house and we started hearing sounds of braking wood and glass and things being thrown around

"Bullshit!" A man yelled

"Mabey we should come back?" Jj questioned at the sounds "it's a little to soon"

"No no shut up shut up jj!" I say shutting him up

"Tell me where it is or I'll fuck you up!" A man yells making another crashing noise

I felt Blake hold onto me tighter "bubba?" Blake started to wine

"Shhh it's okay" I reassure her rubbing her back

We hear more crashing and Lana scream we stopped in are tracks for a second

I started to walk again "come on"

We quickly and quietly ran up against the side of the house

We ducked under the window as we hear more screams and sobs from Lana

"Still think we should stay?" Jj asked paranoid

More crashing glass braking noises before we look to the back of the house and seen the two men leave

We waited til there boat pulled off I was the first to run in with Blake on my hip

Went we went in the entire place was trashed I heard sobs coming from the bathroom I went over and seen Lana on the floor crying

I went over and sat on my knees next to her placeing Blake on the floor

"Lana are you okay?" I asked "do you need a doctor"

"Dude she's tweaking" jj said

"Let's call the sheriffs department" I say but Lana immediately stopped me

"No no no cops" she said panicked

"Mm that's not good come on dude let's just go" jj
said

"You shouldn't be here" Lana said sobbing

"That's enough for me" jj said going to back up and leave I stopped him

"What do you know about these guys?" I asked

"They were looking for somthing" Lana explained

I realized what she was talking about and pulled the compass out of my pocket

"Does it have anything to do with this?" I asked showing her the compass her eyes went wide when she saw it "do you know anything about this? This was my father's and scooter had it why?"

"Scooter didn't have it" Lana sobbed and started yelling "Don't tell anyone you have that!"

I hear Blake start to cry from all the yelling and commotion

Jj picked up Blake and rubbed her back trying to calm her down but it doesn't work

"You gotta get out of here!" Lana screams

"What do you know about the compass!" I yelled as jj pulled me onto my feet

"Go get out!" Lana screamed as jj pulled me out of the house

We went back out to the van and jj sat Blake on his lap as she was still crying

"Dude I'm sorry but we had to to get out of there" jj said

"I almost had it" I yelled "I almost got an answer! And you had to pull me out!"

"John b!" Jj said finally stopping me from yelling "it had to be done that was not somthing a 2 year old need to witness!"

I finally came to my senses after calming down to look and see Blake who looked at me upset and scared tears stained her small face as she kept crying

"I'm sorry Blake come here" I say calmly picking up Blake and held her rubbing her back finally calming her down

I started to drive back to the chatchue with Blake asleep in one of my arms while one on the wheel  probabaly not the safest idea but it was fine
