Sunghoon pushed his hat down so it covered his eyes, and pulled his mask up a little more so most of his face was covered. He scanned the crowd, taking in a deep breath. Even if he stuck out like a sore thumb, it was easier. This gave him a sense of privacy that he craved, and desperately needed.
In the few minutes of freedom they had, Sunghoon was allowed a little bit of downtime before sleep, and he was going to make the most of it.
Exhaustion seeped in his bones — today's concert had been exciting, yet his body still ached from hours of practice, and continued wear and tear. He didn't have much break time, but the satisfaction that came from doing his best kept him going.
While his members chose to indulge in New York's famous pizza and cheesecake, he decided that he wasn't hungry and just wanted fresh air for himself.
So now, he was here, surrounded by the city lights and billboards, walking aimlessly on the sidewalk. All the shops were stocked with souvenirs and silly little shirts with slogans of "I Love New York" pasted in bold black and red. Sunghoon walked past them — they were too expensive to buy, anyway.
Up ahead, he noticed a little accessory store nestled in between a bustling pizzeria and another huge souvenir store. It was quiant and bright, and there weren't lots of people milling around. He should probably get his younger sister a little gift alongside the new Prada purse he got her, so he quickly decided to run into the shop.
He ducked his head as he entered, abashed when the cashier raised an eyebrow — probably because he was dressed like a typical robber. Too bad — that wasn't his profession.
A few girls giggled as they walked past, and he held his breath as he spotted Hyunseo's photocard in one of their cases, decorated with cute stickers around the border.
He should probably tell Wonyoung that.
A small smile formed on his lips unconsciously before he quickly shook his head, biting his lips. What was he even smiling about? He dispelled any unnecessary thoughts and continued his walk of shame.
He browsed the aisles, ignoring the delicate smile that haunted his thoughts randomly, and decided to look for something cute. His sister was a huge fan of anything coquette, and preferred white accessories as it was easier to match. He focused on searching for white instead of the color of her flushed cheeks and cherry lips
He spotted a pearl headband and lifted it up to inspect it. Too plastic and cheap looking. He settled it down, and opted for a crystal embedded diamond headband that looked prettier than overly bedazzled, and grabbed a large bow scrunchie with lace and diamonds.
