Denji was seen standing beside a gentleman who possessed bright blue eyes and a top knot hairstyle. The man was a few inches taller than Denji and his name was Aki, his last name will be explained later. The two men were observed standing in front of a workstation that housed various office supplies and paperwork essential to the organization. "Hello, Denji, this is Aki. He's been here for three years now. Today you'll go with him." Makima said with her natural plain face as always.
"..But wasn't I gonna work with you or Ozzie?" Denji expressed his confusion regarding the reason why he was unable to accompany the senior Devil hunter or the woman in front of him. "Obviously not," Aki said coldly, in a quick motion he grabbed Denji and pulled him by the collar to the doorway. "You aren't even close to her or Ozzie's level. Come on, we're patrolling." "NOO! MAKIMAAA!" Denji strained as he was being pulled by the devil hunter and also tried to fight back to gain ground to stand in place, however, it led him to fall on his rear. Makima walked over to Denji and maintained a relaxed facial expression that wouldn't go unnoticed by the dirty blonde.
"If you do your job well, we can work together, so do your best." She said in a soft and quiet voice into the boy's ear which made his eyes widen in response.

With Ozzie:The well-dressed devilman walked through an abandoned building, one that was destroyed for unknown reasons. He took step by step without a care in the world, glass and wood crunching under his shoes as he strolled through. He stopped when he got to the end of a hall which led in two ways, left and right. "Ah... which one do I choose..? Oh, I know!" The man smiled goofily then he stamped his foot, making dozens of bone spikes protrude out of the ground like bamboo shoots. All going in two directions, until in the left hall an unworldly howl of pain shot through the place.

With Denji:In an alley, a punch landed on Denji's face and he fell to the ground. He looked up only to be grabbed by the collar to be picked up and then kneed in the stomach, sending him back with a hefty cough from, then the perpetrator of this assault, Aki, kicked the dirty blonde in the chest, making him land on a bunch of trash bags.
From the topknot's pocket emerged a cigarette, which the man promptly lit with a lighter. Inhaling deeply, he took a long puff and then exhaled a cloud of smoke from his lips. The smoke dissipated slowly into the air, while the man let out a deep sigh. "Just quit this job. If you come back tomorrow, I'll beat your ass again." The man spoke in a calm and collected manner, his voice devoid of any hint of emotion. He didn't even pause for a moment before delivering his message, as if he had already made up his mind a long time ago. Aki's attitude towards Denji was dismissive and contemptuous, and it was obvious that he didn't think very highly of the young boy.
"Why...?" Denji asked, confused about why the man was doing this. Meanwhile, the blue-eyed male took another puff of his cigarette. "I'm saying this out of the goodness of my heart..." The man took the cigarette from his lips as he spoke, enhancing his superiority over the beaten Denji. "Guys who don't take this job seriously get killed. Everyone I worked with who became devil hunters for the paycheck all got killed by devils. The only ones still alive have a root in their conviction." Aki spoke with his voice becoming colder with every word until it felt like an icy gaze was piercing the into dirty blonde. "You though... became a devil hunter because you're after Makima." Aki pointed to Denji, the latter of whom had a smug little smile on his face. "Bingo." With the flick of a wrist, he threw his half-burnt-out cigarette onto the dirty blonde's uniform and promptly spat on the end. "Then I'm glad I busted you up." Aki turned around and began walking away from the battered Denji while grabbing another cigarette. "I'll just tell her that you got scared and ran from the devils that would have killed you." The topknot put the cigarette in his mouth but not even two seconds later...
