"PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE JUST TAKE A break. it's new year's eve. the most important eve!" kaylee begged.

kaylee was vivienne's best friend and roommate. since the day they'd meet when they were 6, they'd been inseparable. their
parents used to joke that the two girls were long lost twins.

"i think christmas eve is more important" vivienne replied not looking up from her laptop.

"not true, it's the night before a new year. it's so much more important. please go to the party with me. you can keep working tomorrow" kaylee shot back.

"oh my god, okay. i'll go to the party with you" vivienne gave in, shutting her laptop.

"yes! okay what are we going to wear?" kaylee said excitedly

"hmm, i think i might wear that new black dress i got the other day. that one with the cut outs you know. and maybe some strappy heels" vivienne answered, turning around in her desk chair.

"oh i love that dress!" kaylee exclaimed.

"you can borrow it anytime" vivienne said shooting the blonde girl a smile.

"ugh i wish, my boobs won't fit in it. you're so lucky having small boobs" kaylee complained with a sigh.

"i love your boobs. you should wear that gorgeous blue dress, the one with the small straps" vivienne said.

"oooh, okay, okay. please do my makeup, i'm so shit at it" kaylee said falling back onto her bed.

"you're not shit at it, but of course i will babes" vivienne laughed. "when's the party?"

"uhm, it starts at like 10, but we should go at 11. it's 7 right now, so that'll give us heaps of time to get ready" kaylee replied.

"okay, i need to wash my face really quickly" vivienne said getting up from her chair.
