"LuxeSkin is launching today and I could not be happier to be sharing all the amazing products with you." I smile as Michael films me on my phone. "Skincare was taught to me by my mother and abuela from the time that I could wash my own face so to finally be apart of the industry is amazing. I am committed to learning more about what works on different skin types, tones and textures along with the impact that the ingredients have on our skin."
Michael and I may not be together anymore but I would like to believe that we are working towards having a good friendship. He was there for me during a lot of periods of my life, he was there when I first came up with the idea of having a skincare line and has been my test dummy ever since.
"It's nice to see you smiling like this." Michael tells me once my phone is back in my hands. "You continue to inspire me with how you bring your vision to life."
"Well, I want to make my dreams come true and leave something special for our daughter." I press my lips together. "How have you been?"
"Surviving." He shrugs his shoulders. "It suddenly feels as if the whole world has come crashing down on my shoulders but I'm determined to make it through this storm."
"That's the spirit." I pat his arm and he catches my hand in his which makes me sigh. "Michael..."
"I'm not doing anything, I just want to feel you one last time." Michael looks into my eyes. "I truly regret hurting you because you really didn't deserve all the shit that I put you through. I spoke to the lawyers about the separation and they said that they could make it legal within the next couple of weeks... if that's what we want."
"Is that what we want?" I ask while looking in his eyes.
"No." He shakes his head. "I want to get my family back, I want you back but I'm going to show you how much I want it."
"How would you feel if I told you that I was dating somebody?" Michael's eyes widen at my words.
"I'm still your husband and I'll leave it at that."
"Luxe." I turn around to face my mom who is making her way into the building and all you can hear is the sound of the screaming fans outside. "You have a whole mob waiting outside for you, it looks completely crazy but this store of yours looks like a dream."
